Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments If you're a member of another group that you're crazy about, this is the place to tell us about it. All kinds of groups are welcome to be pimped here. Please be sure to note if the groups you're mentioning are 18+ or NSFW, and make sure to mention the focus of the group (book club, roleplay, fan club, etcetera).

Toni (tonibettencourt) I am a member of another group that I am absolutely crazy about! I found the group on Facebook, and we started a group on goodreads because we decided we wanted to read a book club. It's called Reader of Kindle Books. It's a great group of people that just love to read, and I've found some great books through the people I've met there. Don't worry if you don't own a Kindle we won't judge you. :)

Marie-Claude aka MC | 91 comments Oh thanks so much Toni! I checked it out, it seems pretty cool!! I have joined!! =)

Marie-Claude aka MC | 91 comments And I found this one... It is a brand new group. Really, I think they started today! :P
It's for paranormal stuff, and even though you don't have the 'freedom' to read anything, there will be 4 books each month that you get to choose from so it still should be fun.

Salina I have created a new group called 'A Matter of Fool's Paradise '. I would love it if some people joined! :)

Andrea (andrea_angelyna) "Old Books, New Readers" has been pretty entertaining. It's a group for people who want to read the classics. We're currently doing "The Count of Monte Cristo" and it's been nice to have a setting in which I can experience it for the first time with lots of other people so we can bounce questions off one another and share interesting things we've found out about the author, the piece, the time, etc.

Jessica Bailey Apocalypse Whenever is an awesome group. I have read a bunch of great books from their group reads and their bookshelf. They have a very active forum and two book giveaways a month. There are plenty of authors in the group, as well. One actually responded to a comment I left "clarifying" his book.

I moderate "Genre Readers Looking to Expand". It is a group for people who have read mostly one genre, but want to branch out, or for people who just like to read a variety.
We read 1-2 books as a group each month, have a 'sidereads' section, and usually have a couple challenges going as well. There are a few authors in the group, and some of them are pretty active.

Thanks Toni. the group is perfect, both on Facebook and on Goodreads. Can't live a sec without my Kindle!

Melissa I'm helping moderate a group called Genre Readers Looking to Expand.

We read and have a discussion for a different Genre each month as a way for people to explore different Genres.

We also have different challenges which are usually set up to last 3 or 4 months depending on how big the challenge.

Julia (juliastrimer) I highly recommend "Short & Sweet Treats" https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Laura is a great moderator; the group's framework is:
"Each month, we will read a book of a random genre and a side classic read, both 250 pages or less. This is great for those who may have busy schedules and is also a good way to acquaint yourself with a genre you haven't tried yet. You may end up discovering you like a new genre you never would have imagined."

I've read some gems of short literature that I wouldn't have found without this group :-)
