LOL!!!! That's okay, 11 are mine! Isn't it awesome! I love the scene with Connor's chest... I mean, where he's loading the Brown Bess and his nipples are showing... and when he's shooting her and his chest is showing. and when he's running you can just catch a little glimpse of the outline of his... "other" rifle. *giggles*

Only place in town... Walmart!

Target didn't have it either. I'm heading to B&N today to buy the paperback for my family to read. They don't touch my Kindle! LOL!

It's all kinds of yummy. Damn... I think a good 20 of those 906 are mine. I love that model. The thing is, he's hot, got a great body, but he's not a pretty boy model and I love that. He's a man, top to bottom and I'd be willing to check what's hangin' in the middle just to make sure.
Yes, I'd do that for this group because sometimes mods have to do the dirty work.

Dhes, I have to check... Could you really see the outline of his other "rifle" whilst he was running?!? I guess my eyes are so glued on his chest. The breeches didn't conceal much, and he pulled them way down, well, because I asked him to. :-)
You know, being up there, standing a few feet away and watching all that hotness run around in breeches... It really was the most fun I'd had in eons.

Maybe it was my imagination/wishful thinking, but I was sure I noticed a shaftus bulgious there. *sigh*

Okay, I'm not sure how many of you are reading this yet, and if you are how far you've gotten. And if not, why the hell not?? LOL!
I'll get the chat going with some thoughts of mine regarding Connor's character development through the series.
From the first page of Surrender, I loved the MacKinnons. I know Connor is the youngest brother, but he always felt like the youngest to me. Not immature, just more... carefree... he seemed to make light of some things more than Iain and Morgan did. That's not a bad thing, it's just who he is. I wondered if he'd be intense or lighthearted... I was in love with him and I couldn't wait to meet Connor in his own story.
Yeah, well... I thought I was in love with him then, but WOW, early on in DEFIANT I fell hard! He seemed to have grown so much over the time we spent waiting for his book. ;)
I can't even tell you how much I adore Joseph and how thrilled I am to know that he'll be getting his story, too. There were a couple times when I when I would have been okay had he and Lady Sarah hooked up :)

I've already finished it! I posted in the book thread instead of here since I wasn't doing the buddy read.
I loved the whole early portion of the book with the three of them on the run together. The suspense in the tribal village really got me too. I thought Connor and Sarah were a wonderful couple and their chemistry sparked really well right away.
Joseph was amazing. His devotion to Connor, their relationship, just gets me right in the heart.

Joseph and Connor truly are brothers, even more than many flesh and blood brothers I know. That relationship was incredible. Such a strong friendship.
And Wentworth... he stooped to an all-time low, didn't he? And yet... my heart still broke for him there at the end.

I'm at the scene where (view spoiler) I seriously about fainted from swooning! *sigh*

Oh, Shawna! I LOVED THAT SCENE!! YES!!! LOL!! Every time I read it or think about I smile and swoon a wee bit myself! God, I love those MacKinnons!!!
@Shawna: I know! She dressed especially for him and he wasn't there. I was so sad for her. And then he shows up in all his Highlander glory. Yeeeesssss. (view spoiler) :(
@Dhes: I was livid with Wentworth through most of this. Especially upset because I'd always had hope for his redemption. To have him act like that was appalling. What a snobby, mean git! (view spoiler)

I know, Dhes. There have been so many times that I've defended him when other people thought he was hopeless. So to have him behave the way he did in this book (view spoiler) was really painful. I felt so bad for Sarah and Connor, but I also felt really let down by Wentworth, because he's shown some shades of honor in the past.
Another thing I really liked was the comparison between what the Indians were doing and what Sarah's family (and British aristocracy) were doing. The trading of females, giving them no freedom or choices. Same thing, just with fancier clothes ... and flatware. I had really thought that would have a larger effect on Wenty but no such luck. :p
One thing that really choked me up and brought tears to my eyes was the (view spoiler) . Really touching.

Oh, Bean... that had me SOBBING! It's was so.... final.
Pamela, I'm So excited! I've been dying to be able to discuss the story with everyone!
