Just wanted to start athread for people to put down their fav reading areas,times of the day, can be more then one....if you like :)
My favourite place is in bed at night, especially if l had a day where l havent had the chance to even look at my book, or on a sunny day on the couch with my fur kids on my lap with the afternoon sun thru the window.....bliss

Hmmm....I guess I can read anywhere as long as it is quiet and peaceful. Reading at night is best, when there is absolute peace and also in the day time with tea in hand in my room. And a very interesting topic for a thread :)

I have to admit I also prefer reading at night, when it is peaceful and quiet. I usually read in a reclining lounge chair, or on our comfy couch.

Yes, I think night time reading is magical, with no sound, except the sounds of your thoughts and those on the page in front of you :)

I like stretching out on the couch with a favorite blanket and a cup of coffee or tea. My mom's living room has these three big windows. I love to sit out there on the couch and enjoy the weather changing.

My hammock in my yard is a great reading spot! Also, any place near water...the river, lake or ocean and, of course, always while in bed!

My favorite spots in reading novels are: the library, where everyone is so quiet; the coffee shop, where there is also a quietness; and while in bed, where I can read all the time that I want especially to distress me from school works and stuff. :)

We are renovating our home and at the moment working on the front verandah and entrance, we get the afternoon sun and not sure wheather to get a hanging pod or a hammock for my reading spot, we are in The Dandenong Ranges and surrounded by trees...bliss :)

My husband and daughter stay up later than I do; plus I'm a morning person. So my favorite time to read is in the early morning before they wake up. Usually on my living room couch.

Now I love reading on my couch in the living room, with the just natural light from the windows with a cup of tea or coffee. I'm a very extreme reader though either in the early morning before anyone is awake or late at night with a glass of wine when my husband works nights.

But as a kid I was super weird and would pile pillows up in my bath tub and read in there in the dark with a book light...again cause I was weird.

I love reading on the train, in the designated quiet car, on my way to and from work. I actually have missed my stop once or lots of times because I am so caught up in a book.

I sit on the floor and read usually. Or I will sit on the couch but not often.

Mary its the same way in my house. I'm the early bird. I have a favorite chair in the living room. My books and needlework and good cup of Joe. My husband says he may have to bury me in that chair when the time comes! And I do love my porch on cool evening.

I have created in a little reading nook in our front entrance. It was at one time a screened in porch, but my husband's parents made permanent walls creating two little rooms out there when they needed more space. My side has two walls of windows so there is lots of natural light. I can put my feet up and get lost in a book while hubby plays video games or watches movies.

When I'm at school, I pick a bench in the court yard if it's a nice day. I go to a community college that has a several campus'. The campus I go to has only three buildings so the court yards has the perfect little corners to sit and read. When I'm at home, I like to curl up in the hay in the barn and read. :)

I don't really have a favorite place to read now - usually a couch with a pillow on my lap to prop up the book. But when I was an adolescent and teen, I would always read in a big, tall-backed, red fabric swiveling armchair (thinks 70s - yeah, you got it). Countless Nancy Drew books, and later Stephen King, were read on that red chair.

I read in bed when I have the luxury

I love to read in bed! Otherwise, I tend to read in front of my computer when I'm playing games and have to wait on something.

That is mine too. Even though I am married, I have my own bedroom and it is all girlyed up and I keep my books and clothes in there. It is my special space...I go in there to read in bed and get away from, you know who..

my favorite time is in the morning just before i go to work and at night before i go to bed .i can read anywhere as long as it quiet

In the car, on the way to work in the morning, with a cup of tea.

In bed, at night, with a cup of tea.

On the couch, with a puppy and a cup of tea.

i like a nice cup of coffee and my big recliner chair to read or a nice hot bath :)

I love reading in my rocking chair with a big cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate, with a cozy fire going. I also enjoy reading in a moving vehicle, hot baths, or just before bed. During the warmer months, I like reading out in our sunporch too.

I enjoy reading while on my Vision 20 Elliptical. I alway use my Nook App on my iPad. Actually, I enjoy reading wherever I am when I have an opportunity to read. I read on my Nook when we are sitting in the movie theater waiting for a movie to start!

I have a reading pillow on my bed.
