Next Generation Authors discussion

hi! was just wondering what everyone's reading these days...and if you'd like to discuss the book- it's likely that others in the group have read it, too. also, you can get ideas for what to read 9and what not to!)
currently, i'm reading 'between shades of gray'- it's set in WWII and tells the story of Lina, a victim of stalin's reign in Lithuania and Russia. really interesting, and hard to put down. but i'm a bit disappointed with the writing- it's a bit juvenile. but all in all, i'm enjoying it alot!

Artemis Fowl: book one

Great book so far. I can't say much cause I started last night, but when I get to at least forty percent in my kindle, I'll update. :P

I'm not really reading anything but I'm currently working on a book that's called starpower its in my writing friend me and I'll accept and maybe anyone can read it as i develop it :) I'll try to finish a.chapter tonight :)

So tempting :D, but I'm working in two books of my own. I don't think I'd do yours justice. Sorry :)

Yes! It’s the… first dystopia I’ve read, and it’s amazing! Beatrice is 100% realistic. She acts and talks like a normal person would. Her thoughts are realistic, and she has her flawed moments. It’s a thrill.

oooh, how's Divergent? And is assasin's apprentice the one by Robin Hobb? i got that series with Rachel, but we haven't read it yet- is it good so far?

ITS AMAZING!!

Currently now i am reading the Chronicles of Narnia!!! i adore them to bits, they are such beautiful novels. I'm up to the 4th one, Prince Caspian- thus far, it's very good. I love the 2nd book, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the first was very good also.
I'm also currently reading the MAximum Ride series (for like the bjillionth time) and i love them just as much, possibly more!
I'm also reading All that i am, which is about these people looking back on their time in WWII- i'm not very far.
I'm reading 'When dogs cry' (the american version being 'getting the girl', and i really like it- it's poetic in such a rough kind of way. it's what real writing is about.
I'm also reading the poems of Emily Dickinson, which are quite good- some of her ones on life in particular are charming.

^_^ i don't love it, its a bad habit... well its more that my mum has put a ban on fantasy books for me... but i still borrow em anyway adn hide em adn read em at night ^_^ currently Ark angel is my cover, so i read that book if i wanna read and mum is around
