Between the Lines discussion

Hey. My friend and I are planning on writing a novel. Though we are still building up its base, we hope to make something of it. So, please answer these questions for us!! It is basically about the powers we have thought about. We just want to know the reasons people would want to choose a particular power and something of their personality. You may add your thoughts to each one of the questions….

Hope this helps. I will be 63 in a few days, so just eliminate my answers if you're looking for younger respondents.
1. WATER--I love water. I love going to the ocean. I would love to live by a lake or the ocean. It is one powerful element especially during a storm. I respect it but I don't fear it I find the ocean and a mountain creek very peaceful and calming.
2. CALM - spent too many years angry and stressed out. Love anything, music, meditation, art, yoga, whatever keeps me calm.
3. HOBBIES - reading, writing in my online journal, facebook, twitter, talking to my cats.
4. DISLIKE - loud.
5. I am emotional and caring and make no apologies for it.
6. I consider most people my equal.
7. I work by myself, but I also like working as a team player especially if it's in a group with a common objective and eager to do the job well and in good time.
8. My favorite color is blue with a little green in it.
9. My favorite music genre is Chinese or Japanese music, but I have a lot of other world music, New Age, Flamenco, Jazz, Back Porch, actually I like most music except when the artist screams the words until it's not quite clear what they're saying.
10. Grilled shrimp with steamed vegetables or a Caesar's salad.
11. Water was the first thing that came to mind, and my sign, Cancer, is a water sign, but mostly because of all the positive effects of water. Taking a shower energizes me, and I love being clean. I love an ice cold glass of water over all other beverages. Then I already emphasized how natural bodies of water, flowing water over a falls or in a river are quite soothing to me, and underwater sea life fascinates me. Maybe I'm obsessed with water because it has been so hot this summer here in NC.
