Cool. I must admit I have developed an opinion about this author without reading any of her work so this will give me a chance see what her writing style is like for myself.

Guilty as charged! :) I actually finally picked up "The Host" from the library today (it's been on hold for weeks) and will start reading it tonight. It's pretty thick so I hope I can finish by the end of this month. The plot does sound interesting.

Don't worry! I just started reading today and I hope I can finish it by then, too. It seems a bit daunting to read with all the other things I'll have to start reading for my doctoral studies.
Here are some questions that "The Host" brought to my mind:
1. What did you think of the juxtaposition of the souls being so kind to everyone, yet they take over their hosts bodies?
2. For those of you who have read the Twilight series, do you think Stephenie Meyer did a good job switching genres from fantasy & romance to science fiction? This is her first foray into writing an adult novel. Do you think she accomplished this successfully, or was it just another young adult novel?
3. Did this novel make you really ponder about the truth of human nature?
