Personality: She was a normal, but now she's very quiet. She does what she is told, and doesn't talk enless she must. She doesn't smile or laugh, and never does much when in sight of the nurses and doctors. She's a bit scary, in the way she looks so intensly at you.

Background: Starting when she was twelve, Saturn started being able to do things people shouldn't be able too. She could burn holes in things when she was angry at the touch of her hand, and could pass through walls instead of bumbing into them. Her parents freaked out, it was like they never saw what she was doing. They saw, much were conviced she was tricking them. So they sent her away.

Mental Issues: self destructive, fire prone, deprested, mute (not really insane)

Severity: Moderate, allowed to go places

Relationships: Her best friend (Lydia) visits from time to time, and so does the mysterous boy (Alex) from next door.

Appearance: Gabrielle has dark hair and bright blue eyes that are always looking around. She seems to be both very perceptive and very distant at the same time. She wears nothing but white dresses, always to the knee and always varying slightly in style. She never wears shoes.

Personality: Gabrielle is sweet and kind, and seems to have no hatred to anyone, not even her family. She loves animals, but is often distant and vague. Talks like a very mature small child, almost sing-song.
Background: When Gabrielle was about nine, she started hearing the voices. They scared her at first, causing her to spend most of her days crying in a corner begging them to leave. Then, one day, the voices told her to get out. They did so with such ferocity she listened. As soon as she left the house, she noticed there was a bear in her yard. Since she lived on the edge of a great forest, seeing deer wasn't a rare thing, but she'd never seen a bear. Suddenly the Voices didn't seem so bad. She listened to them when they told her to approach the bear. Her parents looked out the window just in time to see her reach out her hand and touch the bear's nose. They also noticed the large kitchen knife she hadn't remembered grabbing.

Freaking out(and rightly so) they screamed outside, running hysterically. The bear, who had seemed entranced by Gabrielle, returned to its violent ways and roared back onto its hind legs, hitting Gabrielle in the process. She fell to the ground, a few ribs broken, and bleeding. But she never cried, was never angry at the bear, and even said it saved her. Her parents rushed her to the hospital to find she was relatively okay, just a few scratches and bruises.

Her parents immediately banned her from outside. So Gabrielle immediately began to rebel. Day after day she would sneak into the forest, searching for the bear. Other creatures would find her, none of them harming her, none of them dangerous to be able to. She was able to avoid her parents finding out until it started storming one night and she went outside. There, in her yard, was a wolf. It seemed to be waiting for her. Again, the Voices--her companions through her grounding--asked her to approach it. Again her parents saw. This time, they took her to a Shrink, who declared her a danger to herself and advised her to be institutionalised for a few years. Although her parents were against hauling off a nine year old, they arranged it under the pretences that she'd be able to leave if she got better. According to the Staff, she hasn't improved.
Mental Issues: She's schizophrenic and has a fascination for dangerous things, particularly animals, who seem to like her. Sometimes she hallucinates the Voices are real people standing in front of her. She's not insane.
Severity: Gabrielle is allowed to wander the building, and is even allowed to enter some of the higher security places, because patients seem to like her. The nurses allow her to visit some of them; they can't keep her locked up anyway. She escapes. But she is not let outside. Too many people watching and catching her before she can make it out the door.
Relationships: Her family occasionally visits, but they moved states a few years ago and are only able to come a few times a year.

Appearance: Lionel has fiery red hair and hazel eyes. He looks skinnier than he is and plain looks sickly.
Personality: He's quiet, and subdued, but people think that's because of the meds he takes. He dislikes a lot of things and a lot of people. It sickens him that the people are so nice. He's still in prison, yet they try to make it seem like a home.

Background: When Lio graduated high school he started going weird. Talking to himself. Doing strange things. He would act differently, then switch personalities. He was diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder, but not dangerous, so lived on meds for a few months. When his mother walked in on him strangling the neighbour's cat, his only explanation was 'They told me to.' He was diagnosed with dangerous Schizophrenia and hauled away.
Mental Issues: Multiple Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia. He truly is insane.
Severity: He is allowed visitors and can go outside if he is heavily medicated, but not let outside the institution grounds.
Relationships: No one visits him anymore. His mother, two years later, is still trying to build up the nerve to accept her son is insane.

Personality: There's not much to really say about Nita other than she's quiet and keeps to herself. In a way, she's practically mute, and acts deaf. She won't even sign with other people as if she doesn't want to communicate with people at all. She's not a bad person, but she's not good either. She doesn't do anything to harm others, but only as long as they don't harm her in return. Just because she looks like a defenseless petite woman, doesn't mean she actually is one. If someone isn't careful, Nita will have a death grip on the person's throat without even a moment's warning- though she can no longer do this as they forced her into a straight jacket.

Background: Juanita was adopted into a family that believed they could never have children of their own. She was only a baby when she was adopted. At first, she was a sweet, innocent girl with a big smile and bright outlook on life. Then, without warning, when she turned five, things began to go very dark, very wrong for the child. No one knows what really happened, but she never laughed, nor smiled ever again since the day she turned five. She never spoke, as if whatever happened left her mute...but that wasn't the only change. Not only did her personality change, but she changed physically as well. Once she used to have dark brown hair, bright blue eyes, and her skin used to be a peachy creamy color, but then it all changed and no one know how or why. It's all such a mystery, a scary mystery at that.

There was no sign of abuse in her adoptive family, physical or mental. Her adoptive parents always tried to show they loved her by buying her whatever normal small girls want from porcelain dolls to puppy dogs. Anything to just bring a smile to her face, but that was impossible as nothing seemed to make her smile. At least that was until one day her father cut himself while cleaning out the attic and began to bleed heavily onto the floor, and instead of running off to find help, she stood there and smiled. She was only seven years old at the time. Things only grew worse from there as she went from enjoying gory, graphic scenes to playing a part in making things (mainly animals, never humans) bleed. Since she doesn't speak, no one knows why she does what she does or why it makes her so happy.

Mental Issues: For as long as she could remember, Nita could always hear and see these things-shadow like beings with deep, distorted voices, all of whom have kept their distance until she turned three. Not only did they approach her, but sometimes, they go in her and make her do things she didn't want to do, but she was too weak to fight against them. There was one who frequently used her body to the point that she was pretty much an empty shell whenever they weren't inside her. Then on her fifth birthday, the thing went inside her and then just never left ever again. The other shadows still hang around her, telling her things and doing things that no one else can see or hear. Then again, no one knows about them because she keeps her mouth close, plus no one actually believes her.

In reality, she is insane. These shadow like beings are only of her imagination, but to Nita, they are real. Very, very real... She created them to hide the fact that it was her adoptive parents who are the real monsters.

Severity: Nita is unstable if provoked, but if she's left alone, she is rather calm and leaves other people alone. She is allowed to wander around the building as long as there is a nurse to keep an eye on her, but she is never allowed to go outside.

Relationships: Her adoptive parents used to visit her every day. They try to talk to her, but she's absolutely unresponsive to them. So, they're visits lately have become less frequent.

Okay, I don't know why but I woke up with a character idea in my mind this morning. So I'm going to go ahead and jump into this rp.

Name: Audrianna
Nickname: Audri/Anna/Ria - she usually would go by Ria.
Age: 20

Background: Audrianna grew up in a fairly normal life, born to two upper-middle class parents. She's an only child, lived out in the middle of the woods on their farm, and went to a private school. Things were going really well for her. She had gotten accepted into the top college of her choice, and her future was bright. Within the first two weeks of classes though, her world spun out of control. Long story short, she was kidnapped and sold as a sex slave, where she was drugged and unable to escape. She was stuck in it for a little over a year before the place was discovered and cleared out. After a week of rehab it was suggested to her parents that she be sent to a mental institute, until she seemed fully well. They agreed, and sent her off.
Mental Issues: She's insane. Has a case of PTSD, which causes her to relive flashes of her experience very frequently. As a result she's got loads of problems, and has become a pain addict because it's the only way she has found to get out of an episode.
Severity: Mild, though they try to keep her away from anything sharp. And if she's being a danger to herself they'll lock her up for a while.
Relationships: Mother, father, old boyfriend
Other: Hasn't been there more than a few days.
