"Room" was read by the library's Fiction Club last month. This month we're reading "The Hunger Games," which I'll add to the shelf now.

This summer, the Wallkill Public Library will be hosting a Goodreads mystery genre book club and contest. Using award winners from the Agatha Award (www.malicedomestic.org/agathaawards.h... the Edgar Awards (www.mysterywriters.org/), and the Macavity Awards (www.mysteryreaders.org/indes/html). Each post, listing the award the book has won and a review and/or recommendation, enters you in a raffle for fabulous reader prizes: stylish canvas book bags, mugs, journals, t-shirts, gift certificates and more! Hello Wallkill Public Library! I have just finished reading the Crank series by Ellen Hopkins which includes Crank, Glass, and Fallout. The story of Kristina Snow and her meth addiction grabs you from the first page and does not let go. These books are page-turners and remain with you long after you finish the last page. If you stick with the story through the last book, you get a good glimpse at how addiction touches upon so many lives beyond the addict.
