Since I still haven't read it and Curran won the Alpha Showdown this year my vote goes to Magic Bites

I loooovveee the Kate Daniels series, but since i've already read it... I'm going to suggest...Sins of the Angels by Linda Poitevin. Haven't read it yet, so i can't vouch for the quality, but it sounds interesting.

For group reads it's often more fun when it isn't something you've already read. :D

I really have to reccomend Tanya Huff's Smoke & Shadows; it's the first book in a series about this guy Tony who a vampire helped get out of the street, and how he's trying to establish his independance years later while there are of course romance and supernatural going ons on the set of where he works filming a tv show about a vampire dectective. Very good.

I like Magic Bites suggestion, I haven't read these either.

I have magic bites but have not read it yet. Most of my reads are middle of the series books.

Eek! how can ya'll stay away from Kate!? I demand that you read it! For the good of the universe!! I've definitely read the whole series at least 4 times. 'Tis recommended.

How can you pass by Biting Cold? It's out August 3rd. Or, for all you Kate fans, Gunmetal Magic (but if you're like me and don't own an e-reader, you'll be out of luck, it's only being released as an ebook.)

Gunmetal Magic is coming out in paperback, too. Mass market size ($7.99 US).

We do try to use the first book in a series, if we can, so that anyone can join in the read, though.

I definatly will be reading biting cold when it comes out. I have also ordered gunmetal magic, but i have not started the series yet. I will have to catch up on that one.

I love the idea of Gunmetal Magic and Chicagoland, but I'm tossing Elder Races in as well. Thea Harrison, Dragon Bound.

I just read elder races #1 because of last month's voting and I really enjoyed it. The action was pretty good!

"Some Girls Bite" or "Magic Bites" are my suggestions. Both are from series I really want to read but haven't gotten to yet.
