Books done in interview style or with character/narrator telling story to reader

Hey Goodreads Folk,

So I'm trying to do some research for a novel I'm working on and I'm looking for books done in an interview style, or with a character telling their story in first person to the reader.

I'm having a terrible time Googling it --I think it's a form of epistolary, but I'm not looking for books written as diaries (Bridget Jones) or in letters (Bram Stoker).

Any ideas?

So far, the only ones I've come up with are:

Interview With the Vampire by Rice
Name the Wind by Rothfuss
House of Leaves by Danielewski

Thanks in advance!

Some of the others in the Rice series are also written in this style.

TAYLOR JENKINS REID!! Daisy Jones and the six and I haven’t read seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo yet but…

Q & Ais interview style I think

Cloud Atlas - this doesn't really fit your requirement as each successive character comes across the narration of the previous chapter somehow - works very well

the trouble with interview style is the interviewer can often come across as too static or too intrusive

Life of Pi is the only other one I can think of

good luck

We Need to Talk About Kevin is written as a series of letters from the main character to her husband.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower are letters to the main character's "Friend."

Anne rice and eny memories

Interview style?
Well, similiar but not really:
All Sherlock Holmes novels and novellas written by Arthur Conan Doyle. One story (can't quite remember which) is Watson narrating how Holmes is narrating a story to him. ...

Don't mean to toot my own horn, but try this novella out...

Starving For Genius

World War Z
Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe

My housemate tells me the original Frankenstein book it written in a similar fashion. The Doctor telling his story to a man on a ship.

It sounds like you are asking about writing in the first person- Outlander is a series I can think of that's written in the first person as is the DJ McHale "Pendragon" series, but the second is in the form of letters of one friend back to another and not meet the needs you are looking for. You may want to just google "books written in first person" and try reading some of those,

I did a Zombie series first person. A lot of the Post Apocalyptic books are done that way. It's limiting in one way for a writer but it's also fun because you get to just be that person when you write...
