Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Hey everyone!! If you have any ideas for tasks we could use, please post them below.

Available tasks:

5.4
10.2, 10.3, 10.4
15.3, 15.4
20.2, 20.3, 20.4
25.3, 25.4
35.3, 35.4
100.1

Point Value Requirements:
The little notes after the number of books required is sort of how I think when I'm making tasks. When leaving your ideas, just let me know what point value you think your task should go under.

5, 10, 15: Has to require one or two books being read. These should be fairly easy tasks, with a few that are a little more challenging.
20, 25: Has to require two or three books to be read. These challenges will be a little more challenging than 5, 10, & 15.
35: Has to require 3 to 4 books being read. Harder than the previous ones, but ones that can be completed before the 50 and 100 for sure.
100: Has to require 10 books to be read. This one will most definitely have to be planned out.

* This time I want to have four tasks for everything except 50 and 100.

Melanie Will put my thinking cap on Zakiya.

Kristin I have an idea, maybe for a 15 point task or even a 20 (possibly)... To celebrate Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines day all in one.. Read 3 books... One book has to be a thriller, for Halloween, a book set during Christmas, for Christmas, and a Love story for Valentines day. Just an idea :)

message 4: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) That one would be a 20 :). And it's a good idea! Maybe for Halloween, make it suspense/thriller?

Thanks, Melanie! ;)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Decided that I want to have four tasks for each value that's < 50.

Maybe to decide if you young adult or adult books better read a few for each maybe 2 of each or even 5 of each for the 100 pointer...

Kristin yeahh, exactly!

I wanted to (literally) mix up the 100 this session; get away from what we usually do. I was thinking, and I really liked this one:

1 books you've been recommended, 1 from your favorite genre, 1 by your favorite author, 3 in a series that you're continuing, 2 you've had a while and haven't read, 1 you recently bought/got, and 1 you borrowed (library or otherwise).

I like what you're thinking of, though, with the YA and adult thing. I had a similar idea to do 5 stand alones nad 5 series books that were 2nd or further. My favorite is the mash-up, but I still don't know what I want to do.

I love this idea Zakiya, I'd also love a challenge to read some books you have been avoiding.

Either ones you own that you don't get to read or a genre you don't normally read (Classics for me).

I swear for the last 3 Task Completion seasons I have added Little Women and Gone with the Wind to my list and I still haven't read them yet. lol

message 10: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) LOL! I understand :). I think Wuthering Heights has been on my last 2 or 3, and it's not going to be read this time either haha.

Thanks by the way! I love your ideas. We could maybe make a big challenge out of it for 20 or 25?

*books you've been avoiding, own and don't get to read, don't normally read. I'm thinking 20?*

Melanie 20 sounds good, I really have to start reading my own books and stop borrowing from the library.

I buy them and never get around to reading them. lol

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 5 comments For 100 points. Read books with numbers in them. Have the numbers keep going up or down. but in order.

A great idea, challenging but doable.

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 5 comments Since it is starting in Sept and most schools start after labor day you can have a task concerning that.

Read books where the main character is in High School.
Read a book where the main character is worried about getting into college.

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 5 comments Fall!!! Road trips & caramel apples! Pumpkin pie.

But I think a Road Trip task would be wonderful.

Read a book where the setting is in your state.
Read a book where the setting is in your country.
Read a book where the setting is in another country.
Read a book where the setting is somewhere you have never been.
Read a book where the setting is somewhere you have been too!

Just a few thoughts.

The numbers task can be made smaller as well. But I seen you had a task to do with numbers this time already.

What about something to do with water. Last time to get wet in the ocean, river, lake before it gets cold.

Read a book about a water sport or with a water sport item on the cover (boat, jet ski)

Read a book where the setting is on the ocean or mainly near the ocean. (the last song, Twenty boy Summer)

message 19: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Sorry, Kristin! I've been pulled down in homework. I'll have everything up tomorrow morning at the latest.

message 20: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Wrote all your ideas down, MS. Really good thinking!

message 21: by Kristin (new)

Kristin It's cool! I know exactly how that is, so don't even worry about it!

message 22: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) I've got two tasks left to make (20.4 & 25.4). I'm about to update with what I've just written down.

Good luck everyone!!!

message 23: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Love all the challenges this time Zakiya.
Off to put my thinking cap on for the rest of my Books.

message 24: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Thanks, Melanie. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to come up with (almost) all new tasks every time.

I told myself I'm going to do like last session and just add as I go. I'll be less stressed that way. So I guess I'm off to read! :)
