Furies of Calderon discussion

Just felt like starting a discussion to see what type of fury is your favorite and why. Mines Earth crafting because of the little golems that they use and the extra strength

truthfully it depends on the personality and inventiveness of the person wielding them. For me it usually ends up as metal, because it blends some earth(strength), wind(speed), and minor attributes from water(sensing, ignoring pain, endurance), plus some other perks (tempering metal). The one most towards my personality though seems to be Wood, and that also seems to be the least valued by the lords.

My favorite furies so far are the water and the wind types.

Definetly Metal. It seem like the most versatile of them all. You can transform your in a metal golem... resembles a little bit like an Autobot from Transformers.
Immunity to pain, speed, metal detection and metal tempering(A strong enough metalcrafter can cut through anything natural, except things that are crafted, although even those are pretty easily cut through if they are strong enough). Alse Endurance which is nice.

So yes my choice would be metal.

I favor the notion of stealth to direct confrontation. Thus I'd choose wind for flying, super speed, invisibility, and long range site and sound. If I had to pick a second it would be earth to add tunneling, tracking, strength, and most importantly options for when being out in the open isn't advantageous. Survival is greatly increased by moving invisibly and with few real obsticles.

If you've read the books you'll know what I mean when I say those magic marbles essentially doom anyone caught out in the open.

After reading the first book I'm favoring wind and water. I need to read more of the novels and explore more possibilities regarding crafting. It seems like creativity is key.
