Allison (rainy-day-reads) Does anyone know if this is the kind of series with one long story arc that might have cliffhangers and generally drive you crazy waiting for the next installment? Or do they stand alone pretty well?

Noodle The Naughty Night Owl (noodlethenaughtynightowl) Great series, not a light-weight read, but something you can get your teeth into. A little different take on your average PNR. Love interest includes Death (Grim Reaper) - love it!

Nicky | 68 comments All 3 bks sound good- Death was what caught my attention but I read the authors Haven bks & was highly...aggravated. Really hope I enjoy this one.

Jessica | 84 comments I haven't read any of the haven books... I love these ones though. It has a very unique take on the paranormal. I picked up the book last year and read it last year and even though i had other books to read I marched out after I was done it and bought the second book and read it right away.

★ gwiz ★ (ggwiz) I read the series last month. Here's what I had to say about book one Grave Witch.

This series drew me that I went ahead and got all three books before starting Grave Witch. That way I can read through one right after the other. Other than the beginning I enjoyed the spin of the tale through the twist and turns of dimensions, magic, fae, humans, ghosts, and death. I would have prefer a different way of introducing Death and Alex's finances (or the lack of) at the start of the book.

I felt the next 2 books of Alex's world continued to be solidly build without any changes to what was already been presented. I dislike love traiangles. Especially ones that are drawn out over several books. I hope that the three-way is resolved sometime soon.

I feel that each book has a small cliffhanger, especially the third. But not so much nail bitting that I can't wait until March (possible release of the next book). Plus, I really like Death's role in the third book.

Hope y'all enjoy the series/book as much as I did. It is on my fav shelf ;-D

Nikki (withererose) I'm waiting to get a copy of this from the library, hopefully I'll be able to finish A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness and this before school starts once school starts it's goodbye fun reading :(

Thanks for answering my question about the cliffhangers!

Nicky | 68 comments I'm a few chapters in & so far so good. Alex seems intelligent & pretty logical & thank goodness so far no insta-lust.

Desandra (dimples10) Just picked up my copy of Grave Witch and I can't wait to read!

Kat Klein | 151 comments Just finished Grave Witch. I really enjoyed it! I started this one before I started A Discovery of Witches, since it seemed more interesting in the synopsis. It didn't disappoint. In fact I've decided to read the other 2 before I start reading the 2nd BotM book. I can easily go thru a book every day or two, so finding new books to read is always exciting to me.

This one may be a re-read for the future

That's great because I'm really excited to start this one

Jessica | 84 comments I am really glad people seem to like it. I really loved it from the det go. I find the voice of the series is really inviting and the take on the genre really unique and refreshing. The characters are interesting and I am always wanting to devour the story and reread scenes. I love Death and Falin which is interesting because I can't decide which one I like more.

I know. I can't either. Even after reading the second book. I've started the 3rd now, and it still doesn't seem like either one can end well.

Jessica | 84 comments I alos like how her power has a negative effect on her. the quirk makes it interesting.

Desandra (dimples10) I started reading this book, I'm on chapter 3, and I find it hard to like. I have to push myself to keep reading; I guess its due to the fact that I want to read Gunmetal Magic (Kate Daniels World, #1) by Ilona Andrews . After reading the comments here, I will continue to try and read this book. So far the content hasn't jumped out at me like other books I've read. We shall see.

Gunmetal Magic is a book from the Kate Daniels World series not an Alex Craft series-Grave Witch book. So, our commments might not sound right for this book.

I have Gunmetal Magic as a BOM so am planning of reading it and hope that it is good.

Leesa (leesalogic) I really enjoyed this book. Price's interpretation of the Fae world is fun to learn.

I liked the friendships she had with Caleb, Holly, Tamara.

I love the triangle between Alex, Falin, and Death. Whoa, Death! Love him. :)

I will definitely continue with this series.

Nikki (withererose) I really want to read this one now after what everyone has been saying but I'm still waiting to get my copy from the library :sigh: so excited for it!

★ gwiz ★ (ggwiz) I read this series last month. Here is my review of Grave Witch:

Death in the foreground of the storyline in this book was very inventive. I had been wondering how it would be possible with the creation of this world's rules. And I was so enjoying Death's participation as he has been in Alex's life for so many years and through him there was more insight to her past. A well written series and it the suspense for the next book is high.

I read all three books in the series back-to-back and am waiting for the fourth (hopefully) early next year. The series is now on my fav shelf.

Desandra (dimples10) I finished Grave Witch and here are my thoughts:
This book says its filled with action/romance/horror, but I only liked the romance,a love triangle between a Faerie and Death (WOW). It was hard to get into the book at first, but it eventually became interesting. The action scenes were kind of off to the point that I had to reread the part again, then I would skip over some of the paragraphs just to get back to the romance. Towards the middle of the book, the story did pick up, as far as the romance goes, and I wanted to read on just to see what happens to the main character. I am a fan of novels about ghost, but this book left a lot to be desired in that department. This is a nice read; however its not my cup of tea.
This book was not bad and it was not great. I give this book a 2 1/2 star.

Jen (jen371) | 23 comments I really enjoyed this book. Lots of action, a sexy fae and a gorgeous "Death" character. Wish I saw more action between Alex and Death though.

I mean I really enjoyed it but everyone is entitled to like it or not as they see fit.

Its only the first.... The series is a lot of fun.

Gennesse | 62 comments I really enjoyed this book. I thought the concept wasn't over done, which i liked. I'm also not too much of a fan of love triangles, hopefully it will get resolved sooner than later. I liked both the guys though, so i'm not entirely sure who I want Alex to be with, maybe the next book will help me decide. Fun series though!

Nikki (withererose) I really really enjoyed this book I hated having to put it down at any point. It was very enjoyable and I really like Alex and the story was really well written. I am definitely going to have to check out the next book once I'm done knocking a few books off my too read shelf. Tonight I will be starting Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2) by Deborah Harkness

I just got this off Audible and plan on listening to the whole thing during my realllllly long car ride next weekend =)

Alicia Ward (avward) | 1 comments I finished this book yesterday and I really enjoyed. I just purchased the next two in the series. Hurricane reading material for the next two days. I agree with many of the other readers that I cannot decide which love interest I like more. Falin and Death are both extremely likable. I highly recommend Grave Witch.

Jessica | 84 comments I found out the other day it is contracted to the end of book 6 at this point so yay at least another three years of the series
