Touch of Frost discussion

Did anybody else notice the connection between the 2 series by Jennifer Estep? on page 89 of Touch of Frost "Barbecue takeout maybe, from the Pork Pit..." AS in the Pork Pit that our killer friend the Spider/Gin works in from Spider's Bite !?!

yeah, but unfortunately the worlds do not line up. There would have been talk of elementalists by now if they did. They mention other places that probably really exist, so this is either simply a nod to her fans for a little laugh or a place named the pork pit really does exist and is the basis for Gin's.

Feels like a weird nod to the Medusa girls series by Tera Lynn Childs. With all the G names and special all girl family lineage that has a great big destiny to take down evil. Although the sisters went to different schools and had different families. Heck even learned how to view some of the monsters as such bad guys. Will be interesting to find out how much further it progresses though and how different it will end up being once I get more into the series.
