Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is most excellent. Here in NE Ohio we are getting a small reprieve from the Dog Days.
Peaceful and happy reading to you.

message 7: by Liz (new)

Liz I finished The Next Thing on My List late last night (early this morning?) which I enjoyed. Then tried Love Creeps: A Novel which I didn't & have given up on. Since the library, where I've had several good hold come in the past few days, isn't open today, I'll start on In This Mountain when I get back from running errands.

message 8: by Heather (new)

Heather Doherty | 96 comments I'm reading The Sleepy Hollow Family Almanac and enjoying it. It is darkly funny and reminds me a bit of early Tom Perrotta.

message 9: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen (gkonkler5) Added Sleepy Hollow to my TBR.

I'm working on Slammerkin and loving it. Racing around this evening to get dinner, house work and kid to bed so I can READ!!

message 10: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 95 comments I just finished Divergent by Veronica Roth. I'm planning to pick up The Fault in our Stars at the library after work tomorrow.

I love Perrotta's style! I added this book to my to-read.

message 12: by Deborah Wells (new)

Deborah Wells I'm currently reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being. It's on the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die list. I took that list and added those who won the Man Booker and those who won the National Book Award for Fiction, cross-tabbed them, and came up with a nice list of 29 books that won at least two of those awards.

I know, it sounds a bit crazy, but I was looking at one list, then another, and got on a roll somehow. :)

Anyway, I just picked up these 3 who made my list - The Blind Assassin, The Corrections, and Disgrace. That should keep me busy for a while.
