Adriana I'm reading this book about food and it talks about historical events. Does that count?

Adriana Okay for Now by Gary D. Schmidt
Okay For Now is a just read. I am so grateful of how many great books I read. It is set in 1968. The Vietnam War is going on and the moon landing is going to happen so I'm guessing it has to be Historical Fiction.
