Hey everyone :)
So I am totally I love with this series and just decided to see what you all thought of it through your music tastes! So what songs do you think match parts of this book! It could be the book in general or certain scenes! Go for it!

My two that I can think of right now are both by Taylor Swift!

Ours-Taylor Swift (the full book in general) " So don't you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine and life makes love look hard"

And

Better Than Revenge- Taylor Swift (This is Marcies sing from Nora's POV. think this could go well in the second book as well) "She's not a saint and she's not what you think. she's and actress woahh! She's better known for the things that she does on the mattress woahh!"

Im a huge Breaking Benjamin fan so I had to put Evil Angel in there because its catchy and it fits the book.

Most definetly "My Dilemma" By Selena Gomez!!! EVERY single time I hear this song, I remember this book. Readers of this book should listen to this song regardless of whether or not they like Selena Gomez, cause it explains how Nora is in a dilemma because she can't decide whether or not she can trust patch because she is attracted to him!!

Taylor's my fav. singer too! I know all her songs by heart. Haunted would definitely work for Crescendo. . . Enchanted gives me more of a warm, fuzzy feeling and Patch gives me more of a dark, mysterious vibe instead. So I don't think so for that one.

Thought about it:
Selena Gomez songs that work are Ghost of You (for Crescendo)(def!), My Dilemma (Hush, Hush & Crescendo), I Won't Apologize (Crescendo), Naturally (Silence), The Way I Loved You (Crescendo), and A Year Without Rain (Crescendo & Silence)

Taylor Swift songs that work are Haunted (Crescendo), Cold As You (Crescendo), I'm Only Me When I'm With You (Silence), and Love Story (Silence) (Hank is her real father and he doesn't exactly like Patch. Plus Patch did give her a ring even if he wasn't proposing.)

Patch has a black heart? And Nora's dad died, remember?

I found the undertones of Patch's behaviour quite sinister, so this song does remind me of the book slightly. I'll admit the lyrics aren't perfect but what they are trying to evoke fitted the relationship played out in my interpretation of this book.
I've only read Hush Hush so cannot say what Patch evolves into, but yes I do think he has a fair few issues, and I don't think the love portrayed is very healthy.
The following lyrics just made me think of Nora's opinion of their relationship...

He's big and he's bad
I love him like mad"
Nora freely admitted throughout the novel that she had issues with feeling safe near him. It's just my opinion, but I don't think their relationship is something to aspire to.
