Eric (ericbuscemi) | 13 comments I was checking to see how many books there were in the Gentleman Bastard series, and how many were already out, ahead of starting The Lies of Locke Lamora. That is when I noticed there was a prequel -- The Bastards and the Knives -- published after the first two books but set before them. If anyone here has read all three, I would appreciate some guidance about the best way to read them. The order they were published? Chronologically? Does it matter? Thanks!

Random (rand0m1s) As far as I'm aware, The Bastards and the Knives has not been released yet. As for the other two books, obviously just read them in order. :)

Eric (ericbuscemi) | 13 comments Weird, Goodreads said it was released in 2010. Oh well, that makes my life easier. Thanks Random.

It was supposed to be released but got pushed back to after Republic of Thieves.

The GR page I just checked says expected publication in 2013.

So, yeah, just read LoLL followed by RSURS. :)

Sean | 367 comments I didn't even know that existed, but I'm already excited about it. It's been too long since I got my Gentleman Bastards fix.

Also, I love those acronyms.

Andronikos | 9 comments LET ME THINK:
Lies of Locke Lamora, Red Seas under Red Skies, The Republic of Thieves...

Eric (ericbuscemi) | 13 comments Thanks Andronikos, but this question was already answered for me two and a half years ago... and the only confusion was that at that time, the prequel was listed as already having been published in Goodreads database, which it still isn't.

Andronikos | 9 comments Oh...
Alright... didn't check the date on the thread and didn't know there was a prequel :). Guess I'll go read it then...
