Oh, I've read a bit of that book.

Icy-Cobwebs-In-Space (readingreindeerproximacentauri) | 3 comments I finished the new Pendergast novel last night Two Graves and started Girl of Nightmares which I had purchased at publication June 1. The problem is that I review constantly (I mean read for review) so I seldom get to read for pleasure.

Julie Powell (julie_powell) | 29 comments I read a LOT, mainly from the self-published pool because they are all so different from most of the boring stuff that's on the shelves. That's not to say they are all good. However, I'm currently reading, House of Silver Magic by John Booth - it's fantastic!!! So unusual and terrific writing. Highly recommended.

I've recently finished the Silver series by Keira Michelle Telford (well, the ones that are available) and now I'm impatient to read the next one. Another brilliant story, superbly written.

Haunted by Maria Savva is a fantastic read.

Just great reads! Though Dean Koontz will always be my favourite author, I'm so lucky to have found so many gems outside the traditionally published.

Icy-Cobwebs-In-Space (readingreindeerproximacentauri) | 3 comments today I've finished Girl of Nightmares and Dark Thoughts, and in between 2 short stories: both by Nancy Springer, "Iris" and "Juggernaut." Now I'm off to read Untimed for Monday's blog tour stop.

message 40: by Lissa (new)

Lissa (lissa99) What's it about?

message 41: by Julie (new)

Julie Powell (julie_powell) | 29 comments It surrounds the characters - The Night Walk Men - it's very different and superbly written. I'd class it as a fantasy but not in the usual sense. I don't want to give away the story. I love it, but I think it's so different others may think it strange. You could try the short stories that relate to this novel - Kro and The Night Walk Men (novella) and if you like them, then you'll definitely want to read on.

It's a marathon story but well worth it in my opinion - I'm 70% through it and can't wait to find out the rest. I think Jason is going to carry on with the story in further books.
