Please let us know what books you have written so we can post a list here just like we've posted the Author list.

This will be the list of books that can be nominated for a "Featured Member-Author Group Read."

We're not picky or exclusive. To have a book on this list, all that is needed is for it to have a Goodreads listing and for the author to be a Group Member.

Anyone can ask to have a book added as long as it meets the above criteria. Any author who does not wish his book to appear here may contact a moderator and have it removed.

The order books appear on this list will be determined part by when I get to posting it up (they'll probably be posted in groups as I am able to add them) and in part by which one came first (I'll post them first come first served as much as possible).

The order books appear on this list has no role in the nomination for a Featured Member-Author Group Read, save it has to be on this list to be nominated.

The first Group Read will be a double listing for most, I know, but this list is intended to be permanent, not specific to any Featured Author Group Read. Future Group Reads will be able to use this list as well.

I've moved this list to a single thread that is closed to limit confusion and help it stand out. Pelase continue to inform us (the Moderators) if you have new books or wish to add them to the list! I'll add them as quickly as I am able.

There are many ways to refuse a Curmudgeon... but most of them cost one of us some dignity.

I hate those ugly breakups.

I'm going to put mythical up now.

I want to check with the other moderators about sequels.

The General rule on other reads is "Nominate the first one" and it takes sort of a "Group Consciousness vote" to put a later book in a series up.

Having said that, I think we need to find room for all of your books to be in the process.

It will likely be "Self-Policing" I think it'll be hard to win the vote if a sequel is up, unless we have read the first book in a group read.

Give me and the monitors a day and we'll figure out how we want to deal with nominations during this phase.

@ C.E. we decided the way to do this was put all books on the list above, but mark sequels (all but the first book in a series) with an asterisk. It's a general practice for group reads not to allow sequels to be nominated except in unusual circumstances.

We put them on the list so people can see them and use the link etc. but the first book of the series. Basically one at a time from a series.

If you have other books that are not in the same series, then the first book of each series could be nominated for a group read.

I hope that makes sense.

We tried to balance exposure for your writing with "best practices" for group reads.

message 39: by Jennings (new)

Jennings Wright | 37 comments Hey all! New to this group but have already found some things to put on my "to be read" list. I published a treasure hunt adventure in July called Solomon's Throne. The sequel to it, The Hoard of the Doges, will be coming out next month. Here'e the blurb:

An impenetrable safe is breached and a secret artifact is stolen. Containing information that could change the course of the world, its desperate owner sends Gideon Quinn, his head of security, and Gideon’s wife Rei, an art preservationist, to find it at any cost. What they discover is a clue to the lost throne of King Solomon, the real object of the theft. They are thrust out on an adventure that leads them halfway around the world. Following letters left by a Jesuit in 1681, they must weave through ancient sites along the Portuguese Spice Route, keeping ahead of a secret militant order that is determined to beat them to Solomon’s Throne.

Filled with fast paced action and having broad appeal, Solomon’s Throne is an ingenious treasure hunt adventure that sweeps the reader around the globe in a race against time.

message 49: by Tony (new)

Tony Evans (tonyevans) Hi everyone. I'm new to the group and so far it looks like im going to have way to many books on my TBR list.

I hope it's not too late to add my book to the list.
Code Name: Atlas
Here is a small blurb from my very first review!

"The characters in the book are both emotive and easy to relate to, the dialogue is both crisp and easy flowing with the story told from a first person perspective. There is a great sense of a small cog in a much larger machine here, much like HG Well's classic War of the Worlds or the recent film Cloverfield where the story is essentially told from the trenches and the bigger picture is occasionally hinted at until nearly the end of the book. The quality of the descriptive narrative here is superb and really brings the story to life and the pace is spot on. It's just so easy to get hooked into the plot and swept away on the journey." SFBook.com

Thanks for the consideration.
