this is criminally underrated
i never even knew the auther had worked w THE cassie clare
story started so flowery it was giving dark fairytale
+ the lore runs SO DEEP now i get why the back of my book has like 6 blank pages ofc i gotta jot down so much
it’s so so good like the only thing i‘d say is a bit odd is how obviously rae isn’t rahela and no one says it out loud
+ reading all the intrusive thoughts XD

this is so terrible i‘m considering dropping it 50 pages before it ends

‚i just want her to love me‘, but when she’s crashing out (understandably so) he makes it all abt him
wants her in his sheets sb but girly is traumatised and he forces it out
makes sibby move into HER house WITHOUT asking 💀

why the hell do i get detailed info on sibby‘s favourite group activity and how addies smile distracts zade in the most unnecessary ways???

also him not telling her shit then having the audacity to bring someone in without asking
it’s her house!! she’s traumatised!!
+ it’s weird they never talked w each other much before the kidnapping
and he excused raping her w „you‘ll like it“ statements

i was dead tired while reading it so i hope i‘m not mixing things up
but dang that was bloody and now i want to know how they’re going to get away from the hollow boys…

i might have to thank the mosquitoes for keeping me awake…i read over half the book till 4am (who cares abt sleep right?) gotta say this is MUCH BETTER than the first book though the story contradicts itself a lotttt and there are plotholes like crazy
(for example addie crying over ending ppls life‘s but wb phoebe? never mentioned again after that night very random hm)

okay seriously adeline is not a manipulator at all
in fact ppl around her manipulate her she knows and falls for it
i mean the mark dude?? and zade rescuing kids but then being the worst nightmare to her is so contradicting and he’s fine w that but not the children??? it’s all so painfully obvious a lot is told and i‘m more invested in daya and her great granny‘s story than the actual plot

i‘m not sure what it is maybe my memories are terrible but is this series getting worse? writing wise?
wasn‘t a big fan of play along bc kennedy‘s personality and arc felt soooo forced
and here we have a lot of tell and a big lack of show
also the flashbacks make zero sense why do i need to know abt her bday + wishes?? there better be a good reason :///

so far i like the characters
briar is really sweet but girl you do contradict yourself a few times too often
also her reactions are somewhat ridiculous in some situations but i get it it’s kinda…interesting?
alistair…well he seems very issued, i don’t like him so much lets see how it goes for now
(also lyra and rook are sooo interesting to me)

seriously i CANT i just read a few pages and throw the book away bc how in the world is there a fmc so slow witted as her 😭 love her but at the same time…. also wtf is that reaction w haider truly why did you think you could handle it? cAnT yOu SpEAk EnGlIsH girl that’s so ethnocentric of you and that’s just one example 💀

adam has 99% a hero savior complex and saw juliette as a damsel in distress but also that 1% hmm warner already hinted at it but i feel like there’s way more reasons why adam searched and did sm for her
and james deserves the world 🤍
castle is so sus tho don’t like him

and henry is just henry but make him twice as somber 👍

did i expect more idk EMOTIONS FOR EXAMPLE abt that incident? certainly but hey whatever i won‘t complain abt the ongoing drama

now this got real interesting, i'm past the 4th chapter & Henry explained everything that went down so far and i'm SHOCKED i never ever guessed THAT. i'm pretty sure there's more to it tho richard's pov is a bit lacking in that department in my opinion... i rlly started to like them and then this.
needless to say i'm very disgusted bunny's behavior.... ugh ick

not me being surprised the weird smutty book is indeed weird & smutty

unrelated and definitely unhealthy but i did like arch & his boy group quite a lot…. till the moment i found out the truth and now i‘m just concerned abt daya (she needs more page time!)
