I can't decide if Devin is an asshole or just a dumbass. I'm not loving the way his internal monologue talks about Alex. It's an intriguing concept and has fun spots so I will most likely finish it, but yeah. Devin kinda sucks.

Is anything going to happen, ever? I like the characters, I like the premise. The character development is getting repetitive at this point...I get it, both Fox and Ana Maria are passionate about their politics and beliefs. It's great that their interactions reflect this and allow interesting and substantial discussions between the two of them. But I'm so bored. Nothing is happening.

Subverting the mafia boss trope by making Vanessa, a woman, head of the family, is a lot of fun so far. I've read some reviews that say Nate ends up saving her in the end and Vanessa ends up being the stereotypical damsel in distress, but I am keeping an open mind. Switching back and forth between audio and Kindle on this one.

Fast approaching my DNF limit. I think this one is a dud for me. I do enjoy the premise but feel like very little has happened.

Giving this til 25% complete to pick up and be less boring before I DNF.
