Cindy Lynn Speer I apologize...I thought I had answered this. I may? I am unsure...there is a third book tentatively called The Herbmistresses Husband, but I've not done much on it. Thank you for your awesome question...
Cindy Lynn Speer There is no right way to become a writer. Everyone's path is different. The important thing is to set clear goals for yourself and figure out how you need to reach them. Are you the kind of person who needs to have a set amount of words each day so that you make yourself sit and write? Do you remember to feed your muse? Are you balancing your writing with the things that make you a well rounded human? Don't beat yourself up, but take care of yourself and give yourself what you need to get you to the keyboard.
Cindy Lynn Speer I love writing the worlds in my head down, giving them texture and sense and context, and I love, even more, when people read them and get as much happiness from them as I do.
Cindy Lynn Speer I am currently working on the sequel to The Chocolatier's Wife, called The Chocolatier's Ghost. I had a huge chunk written on it but wasn't happy with it. So I set it aside, and now I think I know where I went wrong, so I'm in the process of fixing that. I want to make sure I create a sequel worthy of the original. My, that sounds pretentious, I mean, rather, that a lot of people seem to have liked the first one, and who wants to be the author who wrote a book that people were like, "Wow, loved the first one, but boy, the second one is hideous!"
Cindy Lynn Speer My most recent book (I just turned it in to the publisher in September) was inspired, lightly, by my long time love of the Musketeers. I always enjoyed their friendship, and I have always had a weak spot for Athos and for men with swords...

I have also always thought about stories, such as Lady Hawke, where you have this legendary love. What's next? What happens if this legendary love does not work out the way you would think/hope it would?

So those things, certainly, went into The Key to All Things, though you probably wouldn't know if I'd not told you. :)
