Alex Beecroft Hi Darlene! Thanks so much for the interest :) I had a year of terrible writer's block and I've had to eat some of my words about how it's always possible to power through. Sometimes the writer's block wins, alas!

However, I am in fact currently working on a non-fiction book about how to live a more eco-friendly life. Once I've finished that, I'll move on to book three of Unquiet Spirits. I've got as far as making it its own folder and giving it a title - Fires of Wrath, and it is officially the next thing on my list. I'm sorry that the answer is just 'watch this space' but you're right that I haven't abandoned it. It will just be a little while longer before it's out.
Alex Beecroft Hi Andrea, I'm so sorry, I thought I had answered your question long ago and I'm embarrassed to realize I hadn't. You probably aren't at all interested any more. But yes, The Witch's Boy is out in digital form. I re-released it under my SF/F pen name, Alex Oliver, and you can find it here https://www.amazon.com/Witchs-Boy-You...
I do apologize again for taking literal years to answer!
Alex
Alex Beecroft Alexandar! I'm so sorry, I only just saw this question today. Are you still interested in an answer, or should I just hang my head in shame and slink away?
Alex Beecroft Always finish the projects you've started. That's a firm rule. Do not stop until you've reached the end, or you will never get anything finished.

Also, hang out with authors, agents, publishers etc on social media. You'll get lots of industry tips and you'll also be in the right place to hear of any submissions calls as soon as they're made.

If you have something that might fit a submissions call, submit it. Don't wait until you think you're perfect, because that might be never. Get your stuff out there and keep putting it out there until it sells. Meanwhile, write the next thing.
