What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Mandy Colton After my dad passed, my mom was moving and we were cleaning out some stuff. In my dad's army locker, we found an official certificate from the government made out to my grandfather. It was a thank you for working on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge TN during the war. My mother then said that my grandmother used to drive important military and political people to the facility. Thre was a lot of secrecy surrounding the place and work there. Very hush-hush. I was fascinated and would have loved the chance to talk to both my grandparents about that time.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Mandy Colton Roseanne and Dan Conner of the TV show Roseanne in general because my household is a lot like that. If you wanted to know about romantic, I'd have to say, Rhett and Scarlett from Gone with the Wind. It was a turbulent relationship but there was so much fiery chemistry there it was smoldering sexy.

Will your books remain only on Amazon, or will you release digital copies through other venues (such as B&N's Nook) for people to enjoy?

Mandy Colton So sorry, have been under the weather and not here for a while. I actually plan to release via all digital means. However, in case you weren't aware, you can convert to any format by using free software. There are a couple options.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mandy Colton The series idea was spurred by another series I used to love along with my years in the travel business. In it, I had a lot of fun and experienced a whole lot of crazy.

How do you get inspired to write?

Mandy Colton Oh, in my case, it's different than just inspiration. I'm older and I think of it more like keeping my brain active and the creative juices flowing. Even if I get up not feeling so good, if I write a few paragraphs and I feel better. Keeps me feeling young.
