Mandy Colton is from Louisville, KY, and lives a very quiet life with her husband and teenage son. She’s a fan of romance, fun adventure stories, and some occasional sci-fi or paranormal thrown in. Veronica Lane and the idea for her adventures came from her own experiences and career working in the travel industry.

Although she’s a great fan of the human imagination, she is also of the opinion that there are just no better stories than those that involve a bit of true life.

In my dad's army locker, we found an official certificate from the government made out to my grandfather. It was a thank you for working on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge TN during the war. My mother then said that my grandmother used to drive important military and political people to the facility. Thre was a lot of secrecy surrounding the place and work there. Very hush-hush. I was fascinated and would have loved the chance to talk to both my grandparents about that time. (less)
