(view spoiler)[Are you available for questions from other writers? I am a 68-y-o female writing her first Christian semi-fiction crime novel. I first wrote a family history; back in period from 1931-1951 a man murdered my aunt ( his first wife), then his second wife, a child of the second, and a grandchild by my aunt's child. My father never mentioned her or this series of events to his children; my cousins agree their parents. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Are theater writers you follow also Christian writers? It is important to me that despite being crime fiction it has a message of hope through Jesus. Are you a plotter ir pantser? My energy is limited, so I am unsure if I should outline other than info I need to remember. I do have a timeline of events. (hide spoiler)]

There are a few Christian writers I follow and some not (at least they don't label themselves as Christian anyway). I usually just sit down and start writing, but I always have a general idea of where the story is going. And I do make notes on what each chapter is about so I can easily reference.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as a mystery, but when I was younger, probably 8 or 9, I was hanging out with a friend one night and we were stargazing. We saw to blips out in space (they were barely visible and were indistinguishable) and as we watched, lights kept flying back and forth between the two objects, then one of them suddenly disappeared and then lights stopped and the second object was no longer visible. I can't explain what it was, and I've never seen anything like it since; so maybe it does qualify as a mystery!

My answer may seem weird, since the books aren't classics or probably even remembered by many, but my favorites would be Hope and Megan from the Bio of a Space Tyrant series. Although they didn't stay together, their split was one of necessity, they never stopped loving one another and were always concerned for the others well being.

Every story you tell is important to someone, even if it's just you, so keep on writing.

Right now I'm in the middle of a third rewrite and edit on Volume 2 of The Foley Chronicles: Files from the 8th District. Its title at the moment is "Root of Evil", but that could change, as it did with Volume 1, "Written in Blood".

I got a general idea for my first book, Written in Blood, while reading a book written by Randy Alcorn. It may sound cheesy or cliche to some, but God planted a seed, then watered it daily as I plugged away on my laptop. As unbelievable as it may be, I finished a rough draft of approximately115,000 words in about a month. I then spent a year editing, cutting and rewriting it down to around the 110,000 words it is now.
