Goodreads asked Nathan Bush:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nathan Bush I got a general idea for my first book, Written in Blood, while reading a book written by Randy Alcorn. It may sound cheesy or cliche to some, but God planted a seed, then watered it daily as I plugged away on my laptop. As unbelievable as it may be, I finished a rough draft of approximately115,000 words in about a month. I then spent a year editing, cutting and rewriting it down to around the 110,000 words it is now.
