SPOILER ALERT! Great question, however! The funeral was the very first scene I imagined, and I wrote the entire novel trying to figure out why these rural women were in mourning in such high fashion! I had no idea how I was going to get there, but it was a magical journey! I'm always working on new things--currently a book about supermodels and drag queens in 1990s NYC, and dabbling in more Flood Girls! Thanks for the question!

I would absolutely adore continuing the stories of the people of Quinn! There is so much more to tell, and tiny universes that deserve exploration. It really depends on the success of the book. I was there this summer, and it is most definitely still standing! I've become friends with the owner, and it is a must visit for any trips to the Yaak. Oh, gosh! I have so many! My favorite reading experience: The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver. The book that most influenced my life as an artist: The World According To Garp, by John Irving.
