At the moment -
The Gold Finch by Donna Tartt – On order. (Recommended by Doris who praises it above the movie.)
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens – On order. (Recommended by Jean with whom I never argue.)
Children of the Outback by Amanda N. Newman - On order. (Met her on Twitter - excited to read!)

Ah, yes, TIME MANAGEMENT! LOL! I've had 60 good years on this Planet Heart to learn that Time Management is vital to Success and these 7 things are VITAL to Time Management:
1) It's extremely important to be organized. Being organized saves time when looking for the things I need—whether for work or play (which happen to be the same things for me because I LOVE what I do in my business!) My dayplanner is my best organizer for time and I try to always use a PENCIL because it often requires moving and shifting to accommodate LIFE—mine and everyone else's :-)
2) Flexibility is a huge Time Management help, so keeping a couple of hours OPEN each day gives me the opportunity to shift my schedule when needed. More than this, it allows me to remain calm and happy when things shift and change. Flexibility gives me patience and acceptance, leading to a healthier mental and emotional state of serenity, which also helps me stay physically healthier.
3) Delegating - something I used to have trouble doing because I, like so many others, was programmed with that old saying, "If you want something done right, do it yourself." Well, it's virtually impossible for one human being to do EVERYTHING so I've learned to let others into my world to help me in some areas.
4) Yielding to the tides of time is more than just being "flexible"—it's more about understanding when to push forward and when to rest, and when to simply surf the wave. I find this is easier to do when I'm in tune to my body's needs.
5) Family First! I've come to realize that the loving, togetherness time I enjoy with my family is what charges my batteries. When I make time to play games, go hiking, and be out in nature or at home cooking up a family meal with my nearest and dearest, it energizes me!
6) ME TIME! I schedule an hour each day in the morning to meditate. That clears my head for a calmer and clearer approach to each day. I also make time throughout each day to stretch, take a walk, exercise a bit, and snack on fresh fruits (fresh fruits are the BEST for lifting my spirits!)
7) Being honest with people about my time. I try my best to accommodate my clients' schedules; however, there are times when I have to say, "no, that doesn't work for me so what about _______ instead?" In my experience, my clients appreciate that I am honest with them rather than making promises I can't keep.
When I stick to these 7 Time Management truths for me, everything really flows a lot more smoothly and I'm a happier, healthier person who can be of much more benefit to everyone!
Thank you, Miss Dee, for asking! I hope your TIME is long and happy time! I think I will make this the subject of my next blog post on my website www.jennifersweete.com

Sleep? What's sleep? OH! You mean when my eyelids close and I dream about writing or editing or making cool videos and stuff like that for me or someone else in the Indie Author biz - and then I wake up inspired to make those dreams a reality! Then again, which one is reality - the dream I am awake? I LOVED making your video! Made me feel like I was really there! Looks like you are having an amazing time in your new life as an author and healer with words :-) Congratulations! I hope everyone enjoys the video - it's emotion-packed, and that is so YOU! SO PASSIONATE about LIFE!!!

Felix and Oscar ...(for those of us old enough to remember The Odd couple on TV) First, I just plain had the hots for Tony Randall and his mischievous smile and twinkling eyes ;-) As Felix, he was SO over-the-top OCD he made me feel a little more normal—even though "Felix" turned out to be my nickname for a few years thanks to my more Oscar-ey friends who thought I was more like Felix than I professed not to be. Such opposites live within us all, I think, but the love between them was so perfect and beautiful, and cutting edge in that era.
Oh wait ... no ... Mulder and Scully ... yes, definitely Mulder and Scully from the X-files ... of course I had the hots for David Duchovny (who could resist that out-of-control sex appeal, although nowadays he's definitely showing the rage of his age, proving sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll aren't just ravagers of Keith Richards) Their kismet was so dharmic. The tension so blandly intense - hidden in plain sight. It was a long, long trudge to the first kiss, and an amazingly quick leap to a super-baby, LOL.
Um, or, yes, William Shatner and James Spader in Boston Legal. Let's face it, they were magnifique! They had it all—sex, money, women, power, and yet the only people they could ever truly love (outside of themselves) were each other.
Emma Peel & John Steed, Laverne & Shirley, Mickey & Minnie, Andy Griffith & Barney Fife, Richie & Fonzie, I could go on forever!!!
Who are YOUR favorite fictional couples????

Change ... change location, change scenery, change background music, change food, change flavor of tea, smell a flower, light a candle, go for a walk, sit in a grassy field, stand barefoot in a cold river, meditate, go for a bike ride, go for a swim, go to the gym, get a massage, Reiki myself, Reiki my computer, Reiki the world, write nonsense for a few minutes, stand on my head, chase birds with the cat, chase the cat with the birds, close my eyes and Wish with my heart ... let the writing flow through me instead of from me ... Most importantly: DON'T BELIEVE IN WRITER'S BLOCK.

I open my eyes and look around me and see all of life beckoning to be recorded in some way ... through music, art, writing ... I let my heart decide and then follow it ...

I started to gather poems I'd written in the 1980s and ended up writing a memoir about my first love/children's father and our journey together in this life before he was murdered and rocketed to another dimension at such a young age, leaving me to raise our babies alone in this wild and wooly world ... where the wild things grow!
