Jennifer Sweete Ah, yes, TIME MANAGEMENT! LOL! I've had 60 good years on this Planet Heart to learn that Time Management is vital to Success and these 7 things are VITAL to Time Management:

1) It's extremely important to be organized. Being organized saves time when looking for the things I need—whether for work or play (which happen to be the same things for me because I LOVE what I do in my business!) My dayplanner is my best organizer for time and I try to always use a PENCIL because it often requires moving and shifting to accommodate LIFE—mine and everyone else's :-)

2) Flexibility is a huge Time Management help, so keeping a couple of hours OPEN each day gives me the opportunity to shift my schedule when needed. More than this, it allows me to remain calm and happy when things shift and change. Flexibility gives me patience and acceptance, leading to a healthier mental and emotional state of serenity, which also helps me stay physically healthier.

3) Delegating - something I used to have trouble doing because I, like so many others, was programmed with that old saying, "If you want something done right, do it yourself." Well, it's virtually impossible for one human being to do EVERYTHING so I've learned to let others into my world to help me in some areas.

4) Yielding to the tides of time is more than just being "flexible"—it's more about understanding when to push forward and when to rest, and when to simply surf the wave. I find this is easier to do when I'm in tune to my body's needs.

5) Family First! I've come to realize that the loving, togetherness time I enjoy with my family is what charges my batteries. When I make time to play games, go hiking, and be out in nature or at home cooking up a family meal with my nearest and dearest, it energizes me!

6) ME TIME! I schedule an hour each day in the morning to meditate. That clears my head for a calmer and clearer approach to each day. I also make time throughout each day to stretch, take a walk, exercise a bit, and snack on fresh fruits (fresh fruits are the BEST for lifting my spirits!)

7) Being honest with people about my time. I try my best to accommodate my clients' schedules; however, there are times when I have to say, "no, that doesn't work for me so what about _______ instead?" In my experience, my clients appreciate that I am honest with them rather than making promises I can't keep.

When I stick to these 7 Time Management truths for me, everything really flows a lot more smoothly and I'm a happier, healthier person who can be of much more benefit to everyone!

Thank you, Miss Dee, for asking! I hope your TIME is long and happy time! I think I will make this the subject of my next blog post on my website www.jennifersweete.com
