I watch and read a lot of true crime, so when I write violence or gore, my aim usually isn't to sensationalise it or approach it comically or with exagerrated effects. I always want to inject the horror of its reality into the reader. And, yes, there are elements of entertainment involved - even a morbid curioristy (because human nature is to always be curious, even in the most terrible of circumstances) - but I really try to treat those elements with respect, even within its fictional settings.

Ha, I'm sorry! It's all such a lengthy process, this publishing thing, so the next one isn't due to be released until January 2018. So a while to wait yet, I'm afraid :(
