Sacha Black I'm about to go on holiday and there's so many books I want to read, on the non-fiction side:

Turning Pro by Steven Pressfield, Deep Work by Cal Newport and The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fu*k by Mark Manson

For YA I'd say:

Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Strange The Dreamer by Lani Taylor
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Sacha Black I don't believe in writer's block. Either write on. Write something else. Or sit down and work through your plot. It's usually something else, not block. Often it's a problem or plot hole you haven't solved yet.
Sacha Black I spend a lot of time actively searching for inspiration. I read a lot YA books, typically, fantasy, but also contemporary and a variety of other genres too.

While writing and preparing to write a book, I spend a lot of time researching conspiracies, ancient architecture and unusual places, people, and theories. I'm really visual so I like to draw inspiration from pictures, and I actively seek out photo opportunities, I can often be found negotiating my way into derelict buildings just to take pictures. I tend to find that if I do all those things, ideas just come to me out of the blue.
