I love Abby and because I spent so much time with her, she exists to me. I can imagine a world where she has more to tell us but I think I’m even more interested in her emotional through line that we can all relate to. When you finally look back and deal with something that needed your attention, what happens next… So we will see!

I have a new line of knitting kits that just came out with a company I loved called WE ARE KNITTERS. All of the designs are things that I was working on while shooting The Defenders so that’s a totally fun side project for me. I’m also producing a television pilot for the POP network called The Demons on Dorian Gunn which is something that has been in the works for a few years and I am so excited to bring it to life. It’s kind of like Don’t Trust the B meets Ghostbusters. The script is just funny funny funny.

I’ve been working on it for a few years. I was inspired by a lot things but mostly I wanted to deeply and authentically explore the experience of coming from a small town.

I’m often reading multiple books at a time. I usually select a book when it keeps popping up either on Instagram, Goodreads, people recommending it to me, and what jumps out at me at the book store. It’s one of those things where if a cover or a title keeps showing up in my face, I take note.

I’m an avid reader and I’ve been writing for years. I had been developing the story and character for Bonfire and just kind of had the idea to try writing it as a book. It was a challenge that excited me and felt so creatively fulfilling. I’m always exploring new ways that I can make my own path in my career and challenge myself.
