E.Y. Laster After one thousand, eight hundred and twenty five days of serving in the Pharaoh's army, I had ignored the same sharp knocks on the door each night despite the icy sliver of fear that whispered at my neck. E.Y. Laster Go back to the beginning. If you're halfway through your story and you get writer's block, stop, take a break, and think about why you started writing it in the first place. Then take your pen and start writing a list of words, phrases, personality traits, etc. that you love for the next fifteen minutes. Use the list to create another character or scene for your story line!
E.Y. Laster Of Captivity & Kings is my most recent book and my first novel. I love action. I love adventure. I love history. In wanting to see powerful female leads, Of Captivity & Kings sprang to mind and once I started writing I couldn't stop. Every line and every piece of historical research made me more and more excited about the story I wanted to tell.
E.Y. Laster I am currently working on Book 2 in the Of Captivity & Kings series!
E.Y. Laster If you write, then you're a writer. If you create that content, then you are the author. You just haven't been published yet! So get your work out there and be proud that you had the confidence to try and achieve your dream.
E.Y. Laster When you're a writer you can create the exciting story you want to read and make it come alive. There's no need to wonder why someone else hasn't written it when you can!
