I'm so glad you liked it, thanks very much for reading it, i appreciate it.
I wanted to write a story where people move from a busy town to a quiet place in the woods. I Live near Watford, UK, and love weekend breaks to quiet, secluded places in the country.
I thought about characters, upping and leaving to live in their dream home, but when they arrive, all is not as amazing as it seems.
I also wanted to write about creepy neighbours, and them finding something in the house which didn't seem right to them.
I hope that tells a little about what motivated me.

Fortunately it isn't.

I sat down at the table and it really just came to me.
I jotted down some ideas at the time and started writing.

A scary thriller based in the middle of nowhere about a couple who move into a house. Cant say any more yet ha ha.

I say, go for it. You have nothing to loose.

Taking a story from scratch and developing it, being completely in charge of the characters and then making the story exciting. Its great doing that.

It's best to leave the book for a day or so when this happens and briefly think about it during the day while doing something else. It then usually comes to you.
