Janice S. Ellis I was walking through a beautiful meadow, and encountered two mountain lions. Upon seeing me they charged, and I vanished as they leapt to devour me.
Janice S. Ellis Emerald City. Interact with all the characters to see what we can do to improve the state of our world.
Janice S. Ellis I have been consumed with finishing my second book, Shaping Public Opinion: How Real Advocacy Journalism Should Be Practiced From Walter Lippmann, which is due to the publisher this month. So, I have not had a lot of spare time to read the books on my list:
The Book of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn (in progress)
Life Without Lack by Dallas Willard (completed)
Oracle by Jonathan Cahn (just beginning)
The Source of Self-Regard by Toni Morrison (will begin soon)
Beloved by Toni Morrison (started, but not very far into it)

Now that my book is very near completion, I should have more time to read. :)

Janice S. Ellis The continuing plight caused by racism and sexism, and how to be triumphant in spite of it.
Janice S. Ellis Some burning issue, incident, and lessons from life's experiences.
Janice S. Ellis An Anthology of my commentary that has appeared in newspapers and online. And, a book about the need or civil discourse and dialogue in addressing issues and advancing a good society.

Janice S. Ellis Write often. Stay the course. Love what you doing. Make sure you are clear about your purpose in writing.
Janice S. Ellis You learn. And, hopefully, you are enlightening others.
Janice S. Ellis We all experience writer's block. It is a hazard of the business. Over the years, I have tried several things with success. One of the best things I find, especially if I am writing an article or book, is to stop writing in the middle of a sentence. When I resume, it forces me to think/rethink the continuation and development of what I am writing.

When it comes to writing shorter pieces, like my online commentary, I open a blank page and begin writing WHATEVER thoughts I have. Some meaningful topic or thought always emerges.

Other times, when I just can't get in the groove, I read, clean my house or do some other chore that I have put off and allow my mind to "free float," think freely.

One or the other approaches usually get me going, back to my craft.
