Lori Foster Thanks for the interest, Jennifer.
Human trafficking is one of those things that weighs heavily on my mind. It sickens me that it's become political when it shouldn't. Far, far, FAR too many minors are caught up in this, and it's the most heartbreaking thing in the world. I can't write about that because my heart would be shattered, do I write about the adult women victims instead - but only as a backstory. I want my characters to be able to overcome, when I reality, I think that would be nearly impossible to do.
As to my husband, he would crack up if he read that! We met the 3rd day of our sophomore year of high school. He was 5'10" then, and is probably shorter now. (We're getting up there in years!) The similarity of him to the heroes I write isn't in appearance, but in character, in honor, in generosity and protectiveness. He's also a very funny guy.
Here's hoping you have an amazing day!
Lori Foster Hi Amy. Can you tell me 1) where you supposedly won, and 2) what you supposedly won?
I don't know if you mean here on Goodreads, or somewhere else.
As you probably know, spammers are a huge problem, so if you mean somewhere on my social media, I need to know.
If it was a giveaway here on Goodreads, please let me know what book and I will check with the publisher ASAP!
Thank you for your patience!

PS, if you don't hear back from me via this GR app, please email me. My contact info on my website has a direct and secure connection. Just go to LoriFoster.com/contact and scroll down to the email fields.
Lori Foster Hello, Crystal. Thanks for the interest. Oh, how I wish I could say yes! I loved Remmy so, soooo much!
However, my publisher was not interested in that book (boo hiss) which unfortunately, I didn't know until I'd already set it up in The Fearless One.
However, I DO hope to do a story for them somehow - either publishing it directly to my website - LoriFoster.com - or indie publishing it (something I know nothing about!) just to appease myself and the readers who wanted his story.
Right now I'm elbow-deep in contracted books with set deadlines, but I will get to it eventually. If you've signed up for my newsletter you'll know exactly when and where it'll be.
Again, thank you! It's always a huge pleasure to hear from happy readers. Totally makes an author's day!
Lori Foster It's so funny you asked, because I was just at my annual reader & author event, and we all talked about this a lot. The industry has changed so much, so I have no real idea what the process is now for new authors.
The only "from the heart" advice I can give is to write for yourself first, not what you think is trendy or saleable or easy. You have to love the book, otherwise writing is pure misery and not worth the BIG effort to build a readership.
Your unique voice is the only thing that isn't already available.
Good luck!
Lori Foster Oh my gosh, it's been forever since I wrote that book - it was published in 2010, which means I wrote it in 2009. Without rereading it, I'm not 100% sure of all the details. Fran was the owner, yes? If so, she had a brother named Loren. Sorry if that confused you and detracted from the book.
I didn't title the book - I never do. My publishers take care of that. I believe it was a twist on the fact that the owners were breathing down Drew's neck, wanting him to change, and he didn't want to.
In the end, they realized he didn't need to, that he was fine as he was, but along the way he fell in love with Gillian, the handler they hired.
Hope that helps!
Whatever author you read next, I wish you plenty of enjoyment.
Keep smiling!
Lori Foster Oh man, this is a tough one!
I've gotten so many emails about Remmy and Lane, and it had been my intent to write their story. I'd already started it, actually.
But sadly, my publisher wanted me to work on something else first. I'm really sorry. I wouldn't have left Remmy's story open-ended if I'd known!
I really want him to have a Happy Ever After, too, but for now, he's on hold.

I hope you understand. Being traditionally published, I have to work with my publisher.
I hope you have an amazing week - with many happy stories to read!
Lori Foster Hi Michelle,
I didn't write a complete book for Brett because he gets his "happily ever after" as a secondary romance in Back In Black. When you finish reading that book, let me know if the storyline satisfied you. I hope so!
As an author, I can't say why some characters grab me for an entire book, and why some just present themselves as secondary characters, but to me, in the creation process, Brett always presented himself for a small role.
Hope that makes sense. Happy reading!
Lori Foster Hey Michelle,
Thank you for the interest.
Barber doesn't have his own book, but he does have a secondary romance in Hard to Handle, so he gets his "Happy Ever After."
Currently, I don't have any plans to continue those series. Sorry!
I never say never, though. Someday my publisher may have interest in adding to those series, but right now they don't.
Right now I'm working on all new material, with never-before-introduced characters.
Wishing you a lot of happy reading!
Lori Foster It can get confusing, right!? A few of the series are only loosely tied to other books because a few of the main fighters have cameos. That's it. So Jude's Law (Jude bought into the SBC and was a fighter) with Dean & Simon, both fighters from the original fighter series, pop up in my newest fighter series, The Ultimate Series.
If you truly want everything in order, read Jude's Law first, then the original fighter series.
THEN... the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series loosely ties in with the Love Undercover series... which leads to the Ultimate series, and then the Body Armor series.
If that still leaves you confused (believe me, I get it!) drop me an email. My contact form is on my website.
Hope this helps though!
Thank you for the interest.
Lori Foster Yes, there is. It's Murphy's Law. You can always find related books on my website - LoriFoster.com - by clicking "Connected Books." https://lorifoster.com/connected/
I also have a search option that will help.
Thank you for the interest!
Lori Foster Thanks for the interest, Alyson - and the kind compliment. I rarely feel "masterful," so I'm pretty happy to hear that the finished products comes off that way. lol.
I would LOVE to do a series with military heroes, but I have so much respect and gratitude for all who serve, I'm deeply concerned I would get details wrong and inadvertently insult someone. I would never, ever want to do that.
Overall, I'm exceptionally fortunate that (with one exception) I've been "allowed" to write whatever I like.
I did recently want to do a duo of stuntmen and my publisher shot it down. Someday (when I find time!) I'll just write them on my own. The stories are in my head and they aren't going anywhere.
Thank you again!
Lori Foster Thanks so much for the interest! I don't see it listed for Spain yet, but it took 3 years from the US publication of Driven To Distraction for it to be published in Spain. If it takes the same amount of time for the 2nd book, it would be due there around mid 2022. I hope that helps!
Since I'm traditionally published (vs indie published) when and where a book is published is up to my publisher, so I'm dependent on them.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful New Year!
Lori Foster Thank you, Cindy. Brenda is amazing. :-)
The event isn't at BN, but they host the book fair. Information on the event is at https://readerauthorgettogether.com/
We're still updating it for 2022, but all the info will be on there by the end of January.

52 authors, including Sylvia Day, Christine Feehan, Jill Shalvis, RaeAnne Thayne, Brenda Novak, Nancy Naigle, Lora Leigh, me of course... and many more.
Hope that all helps!

Lori Foster Thank you, Amy. Yes, if you're in the US and are able to send an SASE (business size) I'll happily return some bookmarks with backgrounds you can color, and whatever magnets I have.
You can send the SASE to:

P.O. Box 854
Ross, OH 45061
Lori Foster Thank you so much, Jessica! I'm flattered.
Cade's brother, Reyes, is actually a gym owner who is also very talented at MMA. I haven't yet written that book, and I never plot too far in advance, so I'm not sure how much MMA will play into it. There will be 3 books total in that series.
After that, I may return to the MMA world, but I just don't know yet. Sorry! Honestly, I'm a seat of my pants writer who sort of does thing on the fly depending on what characters are speaking to me most, and then I pretty much do whatever it is they want me to. lol. They call the shots far more than I do. ;-)
I hope you enjoy Cade's book, as well as the book for his brother and sister! Thank you again.
Lori Foster Yes, ma'am! The title is SAY NO TO JOE?
It's the 1st in the Visitation series. You can see the entire series on my website here: https://lorifoster.com/connected/#vis...
All of those books have been reissued before, so if you click on the current cover, then scroll down, it will also show you previous covers so you can ensure you don't already own them.
Thanks!
Lori Foster Hey Barbara. First, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed Cooper's Charm and I appreciate that you visit on FB. Brenda Novak is a very awesome person. :-)
I first published in 1996. I'd been writing about 5 years before I finally sold, so I've been in the game a while. ;-)
I chose romance because once I started reading it, I was hooked!
Hope you have an amazing day.
This question contains spoilers... (view spoiler)
Lori Foster Good morning. YES! But there's was a secondary story included in the book JAMIE.
SAY NO TO JOE? started the Visitation series that included Joe's story, then THE SECRET LIFE OF BRYAN, WHEN BRUCE MET CYN, JUST A HINT-CLINT, and then JAMIE. You see Alyx and Scott through those books as they get closer, and then they wrap up in Jamie's romance. You can see all the books (with original covers & the most recently reissued covers) on my website under "Connected books," and then "Visitation." A direct link is here: https://lorifoster.com/series/visitat...
Hope that helps!
Lori Foster Thank you, Angelina. I also love the fighting, but I wasn't sure about the mass audience. Many women aren't interested in that part of things. ;-)
All my upcoming books are here: https://lorifoster.com/next/
That includes THE SOMERSET GIRLS, a new trade book out May 19.
Then JAX, a new Buckhorn benefit book, out June 1.
Currently I'm touching up the first in a new mass market series, The McKenzies of Ridge Trail, with the book title as CADE. :-)
Happy reading!
