Don't know. Never had one. But what I did had and do have are burnouts. Usually when I overwork I burnout and then on some days I can't pull a simple line on paper ok, not to mention write, draw or do anything else artistic and creative that requires certain amount of brain power. On these burnout days, I pretty much live like a mushroom, just existing in this huge blanket called the universe. Combination of simple life activitis like lying in front of tv, walking, running and nothing heals me the most and then on the next day I can jump up and just blast out through the material and create a bunch of new stuff in a blink.

Get the story out of your head before it drives you crazy, then you drive it crazy, then it comes back to haunt you and drives you crazy again. Or in other words, just write. One sentence at the time and then another. Don't be afraid if it will suck, because it will suck. Develop your thick skin because you'll need it. If you need tips on that, just look at the politicians, they are handling it with excellence. And then write under the pseudonym. You'll look cooler with a cool name, and it will free you from the judgemental eyed centipedes of the world. Oh yeah, and like read a lot. Fiction and nonfiction. Books, magazines, comics, audio books, blogs, whatevs. And spend at least one afternoon per month developing your most literary power move, the almighty Coma. Other than that, google is your best friend, as usual.

A bazillion of things. Just kidding, not really, but kind of like that. I am currently writing StarJack, and besides that, I am working on three different comic book projects as a day job. Multitasking at it's best, like Windows.

Oh, you know lots of things. It could be a picture, a painting, a scene on the street, a movie, music, it is totally random. You never know really when the idea will come to you, or when something will inspire you. It might be a simple dialog at the supermarket or on the bus, or it could be some scientific fact that you read in a local newspaper. But the fact is that inspiration is all around us. Or, you could star at the empty white wall until you get bored and your mind begins to play tricks with you. Like I said, totally random :)

It all started with a name. StarJack. A few years ago when I was in NY trapped below the city in a subway line 7 waiting for the train to go, I saw a subway poster for something. It had a nice picture of a nebula galaxy. Trapped in a train with no wifi or any other signal and nothing better to do than to wait, I stared at the poster. Suddenly, one thought formed, another one followed and I begin daydreaming about that picture. And then out of nowhere the name popped in my mind like a thunderclap. StarJack. And that was it. I knew right then right there that it would stick and I should do something with it. And that's how it all started. That's how I got the idea for my book. From a subway poster. In the beginning, I had no idea about the story or the characters at all. Only that one name that was constantly ringing in my head. So I thought, yeah it a cool name and I should definitely do something with it, so it got me thinking. I knew from the start it would be a sci-fi story set in space, and now all I had to do was to invent the universe. Easy-peasy right? It turned out it wasn't that hard and names and characters flew in naturally how the story was unfolding. And I had a blast writing the first installment.
