Julie Abe Hi Raine (and to your little sister), I've watched some of the Fruits Basket anime and it's a lot of fun! The names are coincidental as I chose names that pronounce similarly in English and in Japanese, but you have a very clever eye! Thank you so much for reading, and my apologies for the delayed response.

Julie Abe Hi lole! There are two books in the Tessa Miyata series for now. If you'd like more books from the Tessa Miyata world, please absolutely share Tessa with friends and other fellow readers -- the more support a series/author has, the more books I can write!

Julie Abe Hello Marcelle, thank you so very much for reading the Eva books! This is a *very* clever and insightful question that I don't think anyone else has picked up on before. Eva's affinity for magic isn't repair magic, and it isn't quite scrying magic either... Nor is it a pinch of every kind of magic, but that's a very good guess... Perhaps I'll be able to write a third Eva Evergreen book someday and reveal the answer! ;)
Julie Abe Hi Marcelle, I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed Eva! I wrote the series at a point when I was about to give up on my dreams of getting a book published. I had written many books before Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch, and hadn't been able to get them published. But, when I was thinking of giving up, the image of a girl with just a pinch of magic popped into my mind. Eva wasn't very powerful, but she absolutely refused to give up. I began writing her story--and that became the book that it is today!
Julie Abe Hi Amara, thank you so much for reading my books! I can't share details quite yet, but yes! I'll be writing lots more books with different characters :)
Julie Abe While writing middle grade and young adult books, I've found the writing process totally different, especially in the voice. It's tough and takes a lot of writing (and rewriting) to truly discover how to tell each story, and each character has a unique personality that I work on a lot to make sure it's the right fit for the age category.

For agents, it depends on the agent/agency (though most represent all MG/YA), but my agent represents all age groups.
