So glad you enjoyed House of Dusk! I am writing another adult epic fantasy right now which will hopefully be out late next year! It's set in a different world but I think folks who loved House of Dusk will enjoy it!

Thank you for asking! I would love to write a sequel, or another book set in the same world! Whether or not that happens depends primarily on my publisher, and whether they think it would sell enough copies to make it worthwhile for them. The best thing you can do if you want to see sequels to books (mine or those of other authors) is to share your love of the first book and encourage others to read it!

Alas, my life is not all that mysterious! I think the most exciting mystery to me is what it would have been like if I'd made different choices at various points in my life. If I'd decided to study abroad somewhere during college, for example, or if I'd studied biology or history rather than mathematics/computer science. If my parents hadn't moved us away from California when I was in first grade.
In a way, writing books is a way to answer those mysteries, to explore different lives and experiences, including the ones that aren't necessarily possible in the real world, like exploring cursed magical forests or running away to join an alien circus.
