Y.A. Salimu Very happy that you enjoyed it.

Before I give that advice, I will have to preface it with the fact that I do not have any kids. That being said, here goes:

First I'll tell you how I interpret the question. Because you say like me, and I think you mean a kid who is smart, loud, has a big ego, but also a compassionate heart. You could also pick up on a bunch of other traits I have, but I will answer the question as if this is what you meant.

The advice I would give that parent is... guide, but do not steer your child. You have a very special young person in your life who is going to critically think you into the ground if you let them ask you too many questions at once.

If it were me, I would allow a child like myself a higher level of autonomy, and parent through reflection and gentle suggestion. Everyone's parenting style is different though, and having a grown little 13 year old is a challenge I hope to never see the other side of.

Hope that helps... tootles ;-)
Y.A. Salimu Emily,

I have to fight myself everyday to not finish writing the 3rd and the second book. I'm trying to focus on making the first one a success (marketing and such)

The next two are both dangerous books to write (they are already outlined).
The second book will get me in trouble with the Air Force.
The third book will probably land me in jail.
I don't plan on holding back when I tell my story.
Y.A. Salimu God told me to get off my lazy butt and write a book... seriously.
Y.A. Salimu Doing the dang thang
Y.A. Salimu Have tough skin and be willing to grow.
Y.A. Salimu Making people laugh or cry with little squiggles you left on a piece of paper. Priceless.
Y.A. Salimu Daydreaming. Lots and lots of daydreaming.
