I'm hoping to re-release all of the books, including book 8 which ends the Zoe series, in 2016. Right now, I'm in the process of requesting rights back on books 1 - 4.

Hi there! It wasn't just changed. That book was technically deleted. That book didn't carry the story where it needed to go, so I agonized and finally removed it. The new book two is Stroke of Midnight. I apologize for any confusion on that -- this is what happens when I don't plan out the series ahead of time.

Hey Adrienne, the Zoe series is going through a complete edit and branding, as well as the process of me requesting my rights back from Penguin for books 1-4. I've scheduled them to be re-released in 2016, along with a new book in the series, Advent. So keep your fingers crossed everything goes smoothly. Hey Peg, MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT is retired. It no longer fit the direction and scope of Chronicles / Eldritch once I started Eldritch. STROKE OF MIDNIGHT is now the official 2nd book and works much better as a lead in for DRAGON FIRE. DRAGON FIRE is where Sam and Crwys meet for the first time and the two deal with an event that happens in STROKE OF MIDNIGHT. So the reading order would be DANCE BY MIDNIGHT, STROKE OF MIDNIGHT, DRAGON FIRE, CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT, then into the Eldtrich Files. CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT is scheduled to release in July. I'm not sure I believe in writer's block. I do believe in story block. When I come across a pause—where I don't know where to go, I assume it's my subconscious telling me I went the wrong way. That's when I take a brief break from the book and do something else. Usually the break cleanses the palette and I can go back and figure out where I made that wrong turn.

Yes the series is loosely tied to The Grimoire Chronicles (all in the same world), which is set to re-release April 14th. The series needed an update and rebranding, as well as the completion of Book Three. Book one, Dance By Midnight, is the first book Sam Hawthorne appears in and was written before I knew what direction the Eldritch Files should go.
The Grimoire Chronicles actually take place before The Eldritch Files (Elemental Arcane). So once the Grimoire series is available, it is possible to read Grimoire and have some things filled in as you're introduced to Dags and Mike.
The short Dragon Fire is a bridge between the two. This story is the first meeting of Samantha, Levi and Crwys.
If you haven't joined my newsletter, head over to my website and sign up! I plan on offering a free review copy of Dance By Midnight prior to the re-release of the ebook to newsletter subscribers. For the Grimoire series to continue past 3 books depends on if the readers enjoy it and want more.

Yes there will be more Devin books. There are four planned in that series so far. The series will continue in August with "Little Fish, Big Fish."
LOL. And since I'm late answering, Elemental Moon was released earlier this month. Elemental Flame will release April 16th!
