Veronica R. Tabares After three days crammed in the barrel where he had locked me the air got so thin every breath was a painful struggle. As consciousness slipped away my last thought was that my name would be added to the long list of people who had mysteriously disappeared, and that no one would ever suspect what a monster he was.
Veronica R. Tabares The rush of adrenalin I get when I put in a good day of writing.
Veronica R. Tabares Everywhere I look I see ideas for new books. My head is so jam packed with potential books if I didn't write I think my head would explode!
Veronica R. Tabares Trust yourself, and don't try to write it perfect the first time. I usually rewrite 7 or 8 times, and with each rewrite the story gets richer.

Also, remember that writing is a craft. The more you practice it, the better you'll be.
Veronica R. Tabares I deal with writer's block on a daily basis. Even though I love to write, I almost always have a hard time getting started. So I set small goals for myself, and a small reward to match. For example, I might tell myself that after I write 100 words I can have a cup of coffee. After 250 words I can eat breakfast.

Most days, after getting over that first hurtle, I get caught up in the story and no longer need the goals. If I have to set a few goals for myself and I'm still having problems, I usually call it a day and do something else productive.
Veronica R. Tabares I'm currently working on a sequel to Department of Temporal Adjustment. It's set four years later, and the action starts when someone sneaks through the time portal into the past and makes an adjustment that drastically changes everything. Vanessa decides she needs to clean up the mess, and this time her children time travel with her.
Veronica R. Tabares My most recent book, a picture book with the title Monster of a Problem, was inspired by my nephew, who was five at the time. All he could talk about were the noises he kept hearing under his bed, and how scared it made him. I told him a story to make him feel better, then wrote the book.
