S.C. Monson Keep trying and don't give up. Most times, writing doesn't just magically become great, unless you're J.K. Rowling and you have magical connections. ;) It takes work and effort to develop the skill. If you're self-publishing, use beta readers and hire an editor. We all have to start somewhere and editors can help us get our writing to where we want it to be.
S.C. Monson Bringing my imagination to life. Also, creating a quality product that's exciting, intense, and fun that I would want to read, can be read by people of all ages, and that might be able to influence others positively.
S.C. Monson Book two of the Badgerblood series, potentially called Shadowshifter. That subtitle is subject to change, however.
S.C. Monson I write out the point that's giving me grief, then list different options for the motivation or the way the story can go from there. I may even hash things out with my husband. Sometimes I'll google incidents in real life that are similar to events in my book and try to glean inspiration from them. Other times, I just keep trying to write or stare aimlessly off into space. The latter is far less effective.
