I actually have two favorite fictional couples. One is Alaina and Cole in Kathleen Woodiwiss' Ashes in the Wind. Both characters are very strong and the conflict between them ebbs, flows and crashes all through the book. The time frame is the Civil War and the period afterward. We have very few books set in that time frame published today... don't understand why because it is a period ripe with conflict.
My second couple is Dallas and Roark in Nora Roberts in Death Series. They've been a couple through 44 books, soon to be 45 and Roberts is allowing Dallas to evolve and grow the longer the couple are together, as she should. In the latest book I read, Echoes in Death, there's a burgeoning openness growing in Dallas's character. She's learned to trust and is building a closer and closer relationship with Roark certainly, but also the group of associates who are also friends-family. She's accepting the concept that needing comfort and support isn't a weakness. Her conflict with Summerset has turned into a game and she always asks where he's at if he isn't present and there's a deeper concern there. Though the romance in the In Death series is secondary to the mystery-suspense plot lines in the book, it is still and integral part of each story and it's been entertaining to watch the characters evolve, not just Roark and Dallas but the others as well.

I write my way through it. I keep a notebook with all the research I've done before I write the book and when I get stumped I just go back and work on the notebook. Something I read or find during my research will inspire an idea and I'll be back to writing my story.

Being your own creative boss. You are in complete control of what you write about, and what your characters do and say. It's a fantastic thing to wake up every morning eager to get to work. That's how I feel every day. I'm so blessed to be able to do what I've dreamed of doing since second grade.

I'm working on the sixth project of my SEAL Team Heartbreakers Series. It's titled Breaking Boundaries. Corporal Callahan Crowes arrives home from Afghanistan missing part of a leg and haunted by guilt over the loss of his men. With their memory in mind, he pledges to live every moment of life for them all. And despite having a prosthetic, he is determined to build a career in the only field he knows besides being a soldier: construction.
Reeling from her fiancé’s infidelity and broken engagement, Kathleen O’Connor accepts a job far away from Boston to escape the sympathetic fallout from friends and family. She moves in with her brother, and with her shiny, new architectural degree, she decides to launch her career with a commercial construction and design firm, and puts romance firmly behind her.
Her first day on the job, Kathleen witnesses an act of unfounded prejudice against Cal Crowes that disturbs her. When she learns Cal may lose his job because of his leg, Kathleen urges him to use social media to fight the decision, putting her own job at risk.
The public firestorm pushes Cal into the limelight in ways he isn’t expecting, and shows him a missing limb isn’t the stumbling block to love he's believed it is. And Kathleen discovers there’s more to a man than two good legs—it’s the size of his heart that counts.

I've written since I was able to read. I write every day. My inspiration is often created by reading other people's words. so I read 1000 words a day at least.

From a picture I saw on a photo site. I was just fascinated by the number of things that could happen within the realm that picture suggested.
