I've really enjoyed your unbound shifter series as it has some of the most unique characters in the shifter romance genre, is Connor and Tiger girls the last one or do you plan to write books for some of the secondary characters who have appeared in the series?

Will there be more MacKenzie books?

Jennifer Ashley Short answer: Yes! Longer answer: Yes, I have Belle, Megan, Gavina, and others on my schedule. I've been away from Mackenzies because I had to slow down a little and deal with many personal life things. But I'm writing more regularly now, and they will be back soon!

What is next for Daniel and Kat? How many books does you think will be in the series? I have really enjoyed A Below Stairs Mystery.

Jennifer Ashley Many things are coming up for Kat and Daniel: adventures, crime solving, their relationship growing. I plan at the very least 10 books. I tend to write long series, so who knows?

I am excited about the newest Below Stairs book, is there going to be an Audible release for it?

You mentioned that "The Price of Lemon Cake" was previously published in an anthology would I have read it?

Jennifer Ashley The story was first published in the multi-author anthology, Pride not Prejudice. It was on sale for only 3 months. If you have that anthology, then yes, you have this story.

Jennifer Ashley So far I am contracted for 8, but my plan is to do 10 at the very least. Kat and Daniel will get there! I promise.

Hello Ms. Ashley, I'm sure you have answered this question before but, can you tell me if the Highland Ever After book will ever be out in paperback? I have been ready to read about what happened between Taliesin and Brodie. Also, will there be an Audible books version?

I absolutely loved "A Rogue Meets A Scandalous Lady" and the inclusion of archaeology -- would you ever write more Victorian stories with archaeology in them?

Jennifer Ashley Thank you! Yes, indeed I would do more Victorian archaeology stories. I'm fascinated by that time period and the early archaeologists, like Petrie and others. It shows up a little in my Kat Holloway mysteries (Scandal Above Stairs), but I'd like to do more.

Jennifer Ashley Hi Mahsa: Thank you! Yes, I will continue the Mackenzie series, with stories about the younger generation: Belle, Megan, Gavina, Hart's sons, and others. So many Mackenzies to write about!

I just reread Daniel Mackenzie's story and was intrigued by the bit about Jaime at the end. It appears Ian and Beth's babies are growing up a bit. Will there be a next generation of Mackenzie stories?

Jennifer Ashley The next generation of Mackenzies books have begun! First is the Sinful Ways of Jamie Mackenzie. :-)

I really enjoy your Captain Lacey books. After I finished the Custom House Murder, I began rereading Sense and Sensibility and ran into Colonel Brandon again. Was this accidental naming? I must admit, I can imagine Colonel Christopher Brandon in later life becoming similar to Aloysius.

Jennifer Ashley Accidental. I did not remember that the character in S&S was called Brandon. They are nothing alike! LOL The Brandon in S&S I am certain will be a kind, caring husband to the end of his days. Aloysius Brandon ... we shall see!

I just finished Murder in the East End and I'm wondering if there will be more Kat Holloway Mysteries? Hopefully a lot more.

Jennifer Ashley Yes, indeed! I just finished Death at the Crystal Palace (Book 5), which will be out July, 2021, and am making notes for Book 6. I will be writing this series for a while to come.

I love your books, especially the "Mackenzie and McBride" series! I read somewhere that maybe you were going to write a story about Captain Ellis or Glenna. Now I know the answer to Captain Ellis' story, but will Glenna have her story written too? :)

Jennifer Ashley I have much more in the Mackenzies series coming up, both the Victorian Mackenzies (going into the next generation), and the 18th-century characters. Glenna's romance is one of them. I have much to write!

I love your books, especially the Mackenzie and McBride series. Once in a while a side character comes along that you just wish would get the girl. Mine would be Captain Ellis. Do you have any plans for a book or novella where he's a central character who gets the girl?

I just finished reading Tiger Striped and a Shifter Christmas Carol last night (love the series!), and was so excited to see some hints of a Connor main feature. Please tell me that there is a Connor book in the works?! He's been one of my favorite characters from the beginning (such a sweetheart), so I can't wait to see his story unfold. :)

Jennifer Ashley Of course! There will be a book about Connor, and the character revealed in Tiger Striped. :-)

Will there be any MacKenzie books coming out in 2020? I started the series back in June, and have fallen in love with it.

Jennifer Ashley In October (2020), I will have a Mackenzie-connected novella in the boxed set "A Very Highland Christmas." Stuart Cameron is a character from the 18th-century novels (Stolen Mackenzie Bride, Alec Mackenzie's Art of Seduction, and the Devilish Lord Will). Ian Mackenzie will tell the family his story of how Stuart stopped at a wayside inn during Christmas of 1746. I am working on more Mackenzie novels that will be out in 2021 (and beyond).
