Thanks for the question, R_L.
Yes, I do design my covers, but often I can't create a satisfactory replica of what lives in my head.
Scribes was easy. I had the plan from the very first draft of the first book almost a decade prior to release, and feel it represents Tiris perfectly. It's even described in the story.
Elves took me almost 7 years to decide on a design, but once it came to mind, it was done in a day. The spine of the book had to fold specifically like the spine of the dragon, and I like how it turned out.
A design is never 100% the same as first imagined, but it tells you when it's ready. They're not the most dramatic or brilliantly executed designs, but mean a lot to me and the story.
I'm very pleased to hear they were a hit with readers.

Oh Oxy, That is such a loaded question.
I would probably say that I honestly was surprised how readers became so invested in my worlds.
And the amount of times you can go back to a manuscript and still find something you want to adjust.
There are many things, but whether good or bad, they all help me grow as a storyteller.

Secondly, Caleb is the last of his kind of a very powerful dragon type, is he the most powerful being (more powerful than Killian)? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Lexi, thank you for your support!
It's a very tricky question that I don't think I can answer with much clarity, but I'll try.
Being top of the food chain regarding power, ability, or bloodline, varies between characters.
Where one would use power or status to force compliance, others would use it defensively.
You have to consider what 'power' really means in terms of an individual, their motivations and of course, the results.
The amount of power one has isn't particularly relevant as it doesn't necessarily give that character the advantage. Just think how often we see supremely powerful beings having their butts kicked by the underdogs.
Caleb and Killian are two very powerful yet inherently different beings, and you will have to continue reading the series to see how their story progresses.

(view spoiler)[I've always had a fondness for the legends and histories of Japan, and so in my work, I added a little 'hat tip' to the things that I enjoy.
Cynergians are an amalgamation of the last decade and a half of my writing, and I feel like they decided what they were without my help. Tiris' evolution is undoubtedly one of my favourites
Let's face it, foxes are well-loved everywhere! (hide spoiler)]
