If I understand the way the process works Chapter 5 in book should = Chapter 5 in audio. Since the description was on the first page in Chapter 5, I imagine it would be within the first couple minutes of Chapter 5 in audio. Fingers crossed.

There are descriptions of him scattered throughout the books, but I don't tend to go into a lot of detail so I imagine I've left a lot of readers confused. Not just with him but with Munroe as well. I've implied she's tall, said she was taller than the average man, referenced her as two inches shorter than a six-foot person standing beside her, but have never come right out and said that she's five-foot-ten, and so many readers have the impression she's small and petite. Ooops on me.
So, Miles. I've finally tracked down the first time a description of him shows up and it's in THE INFORMATIONIST in Chapter 5, page 53, in the very bottom paragraph.

I'm so glad you've enjoyed the books! My sincerest apologies for the slow response. I haven't been on Goodreads for months and months. I promise I'm way better at answering email so if ever you'd like to connect directly you can find me at contact(at) taylorstevensbooks(dot)com.
As to the next Munroe story, the good news is there does happen to be another book in progress. There are even sneak peek chapters and a fascinating explanation on the delay over at www. patreon.com/taylorstevens The not as good news is I'm really not sure when it will be finished (which is why, for my fans, I've been releasing each new chapter as it is written).
The other good news is there is also a new series in the works and I hope there's a lot in the new stories for Munroe fans to appreciate: we get a fast pace with uncommon story lines and settings, unique boundary-pushing characters, and intense action and adventure. The first should be coming in early 2019.
In the meantime, if you'd be interested in hearing the inside scoop plus regular updates on the writing process/ writing life, I email pretty regularly and you can get all that at: www.taylorstevensbooks.com/connect.php

Thank you for the question and my sincerest apologies for the slow response. I'm probably the world's worst when it comes to social media--I haven't been on Goodreads for months and months. I'm pretty good with answering email, though, and if ever you'd like to connect directly you can find me at contact(at) taylorstevensbooks(dot)com.

The other good news is there is now a new series in the pipeline. Although not Munroe--she's one of a kind and a breed apart--there's a lot in this new series that those who've enjoyed Munroe will appreciated: fast pace, uncommon story lines and settings, unique boundary-pushing characters, and intense action and adventure. The first is scheduled for release in early 2019.

More characters and potential stories than I can count :) If only I could write at the speed they present themselves... if ONLY! I've explored a few non-Munroe ideas--none of which are finished. But since I'm not one of those writers who can create more than a book a year, I try to focus on those that are able to carry a similar gritty tension to what readers find in the Munroe stories. After living with Munroe for so long, it'll be interesting to see what else ends up moving forward and what the end product will be like :)

THE INFORMATIONIST is under film option by Lightstorm Entertainment (James Cameron and Jon Landau's production company), but it’s a really long option. If the story does actually move forward toward film, I wouldn't expect to see any movement on it until after Avatar 2, 3 and 4 are finished, which is going to be a while. But there are a lot of us out here hoping for a Munroe movie so you're in good company :) As far as IMDb goes, the only thing I could find was this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2475426/

That's always such a tough one to answer because...it depends! Each Munroe installment is a standalone in terms of plot and, for that, I try to include just enough character backstory that a first time reader won't be completely lost but not so much that it annoys those who've been with the characters from the beginning. (It's a fine line, and sometimes I do it better than others.) But there's definitely a character arc that flows from book to book. Those who enjoy investing in and returning to characters they love are going to have a richer reading experience and will certainly understand Munroe better if they move through the series from front to back, but readers who are drawn to the series for the thrills and spills and who aren't necessarily inclined to read every book in a series anyway would be fine starting anywhere.

It's possible... maybe one day. But I've always felt that the story of what happened throughout my childhood was bigger than just my own personal experiences, which is why I wrote THE INNOCENT (Munroe #2).
Without a doubt, THE INNOCENT is fiction--all of the characters are made up and the story line itself is also made up. But, everything that happens in that book plot-wise as it pertains to the cult is a fictionalized account of something similar that happened to someone(s) [not necessarily me] in real life. The scenes inside the "havens," the beliefs, the lifestyle and sequestration, the way the characters think and behave, were as close to real life as I could make them within this genre-defined, word count-limited, fictional format and is the best answer I can give to those who ask what it was like for me growing up.
So I'm not saying I'll *never* write a memoir, but for now, THE INNOCENT is out there to fill in the blanks. :)

Great question, Christine! I've got a few more in my head and would love to get them into book form but, ultimately, whether it happens or not will depend entirely on readers who want to see Munroe again. :) Getting exposure for this series, especially as it progresses, has become increasingly difficult. The series needs sales to stay alive, but people can only buy books that they know exist and that's where reader support becomes so important. I'm incredibly grateful for all of the enthusiasm and tell-a-friend excitement that has gotten us this far. I've got my fingers crossed for more to come :)

A big fan also. I'll promote the series also.

Hi Beth, good question! THE INFORMATIONIST is under film option, but it’s a *long* option period. At the moment he’s fully involved in creating Avatar 2, 3 and 4, which will take a number of years. Let’s just say that there’s probably no one else on earth that prays for him to live a long and healthy life as hard as I do. ;)
