Carmen DeSousa Thank you for your feedback, Tina. I always try to find different voices for different books, basically attempting different styles for different genres.

I really enjoyed his style, and he's done a bunch of other books that readers/listeners love.

However, I know we don't always hit that perfect mark for everyone.

Is there another one of my titles you would like? Here's a link where you can find my email. My email is listed at the bottom of every page as "EMAIL ME!" https://www.carmendesousabooks.com/

Email me which audiobook you would like, and I'll send you a free copy.

Thank you again for reading and letting me know your thoughts. Always appreciated!
Carmen DeSousa Hey, Chelsea!

Thank you for reading, and thank you for asking!

And yes, the next book will focus on Raylene, but you will also see her sister and Jana again, and Howard, of course, because there is a movie coming.

I don’t have a date yet, but rest assured, it’s in the works.

Thank you again!

Carmen
Carmen DeSousa I simply go to the next story. Inevitably, the moment I start working on a new story, the characters from the previous story will start whispering in my ear, seducing me to stop playing with my new characters and to come back to them.

Also, I read! Whenever I read, my mind always wants to write. Call it jealousy or whatever, but the ideas seem to spark when I'm reading a great book that someone else wrote.
Carmen DeSousa Reading inspires me in everything I do in life. When I read, I actually get jealous. I think to myself, "I want to make readers feel this..."

Carmen DeSousa My favorite work yet! I've been sitting on this story for years, waiting until all the pieces came to me. Readers of the Creatus series will love it. Hopefully even more than the Creatus series. If all goes as planned, I hope to release excerpts by summer 2017.

Also, due to popular demand, I'm working on a follow-up series to the Creatus series. The first installment should be available by Christmas 2017.
Carmen DeSousa If you're writing for you, never give up! After all, if you're writing for you, you'll know there will always be someone who loves your story.

Also, read, read, read, and study, study, study, and then edit, edit, edit. Never stop working to perfect your craft.
Carmen DeSousa Being able to work in my PJs.

Okay, while that's true, the greatest thing about being a writer is when readers seek me out to tell me that one of my stories gave them hope or touched their soul. Those words make the fifteen-hour days worth every second.
Carmen DeSousa The biggest mystery in my life is how I managed to overcome all the obstacles life has tossed in my path to end up where I am today. The reason that, while I write romantic suspense, women's fiction, and paranormal novels, each of my stories have a common thread of love and forgiveness.

My entire life has been an outline for not one, but a series of books. In fact, I often dribble tidbits of my life into my stories: good and bad. As many authors, my first novel, "She Belongs to Me," includes more of my life than any other. I leave it to the readers, though, to figure out what's real and what's fiction. More often than not, what seems impossible is usually the part of the story that really happened. After all, as we all know, truth is usually stranger than fiction.
Carmen DeSousa Dear Meagan,

So sorry! I thought I already answered this question. YES! The entire series is now updated in the set that you've already purchased. So you can read the entire series for no extra charge!

If you purchased through Amazon, you'll have to email them and ask them to update it via this address: kindle-generalist@amazon.com

Request the newest content for ASIN B00KGK9A5A to be sent to your device.

That's it! They do the rest. For iTunes and Nook, simply go into your library, and there should be an option to update content.
Carmen DeSousa Thank you so much, Faith! Those non-questions are the easiest types of questions to answer. LOL!

But, actually, you sort of asked a question... Seeing Mark and Ashlyn again. The answer is: yes! Although the story will center around Anna, the forensics detective, I think Mark and Ashlyn might need to help her out. The story is a while out, as I'm finishing up the next book in the Creatus series, and then I have one more in my Southern Romantic-Suspense collection. But...Anna's story has already been started in "The Plantation," which will take place in South Carolina. I hope to release it next year.

Again, thank you for your lovely comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed "The Library."

My best,

Carmen
Carmen DeSousa I'm so sorry I'm just now seeing this, Taylor. The answer is YES! But, I got so far behind on my other series that I haven't found time to finish it. The follow-up novel is halfway written, though, and one I'm anxious to get back to soon. :)
Carmen DeSousa Yes, I do. I'm looking for Amazon's explanation right now. I tried to have them send an email to all owners of the eBook set, but they refused. I've received updates on other books for years, so I assumed when I updated a new edition, they would inform readers. Evidently, that's not the case. They'll only notify readers when there's an updated book due to errors.

I'll be back shortly with their instructions. It's actually pretty easy, but you as the Kindle owner have to request your book be updated. :)
Carmen DeSousa Thank you for connecting. I'm pleased to meet you, Michael!
Carmen DeSousa Since the beginning of the written word, storytellers have shared myths about supernatural beings. However, over the centuries, these supernatural beings have morphed into tales of vampires, werewolves, and superheroes that are so outlandish I find it hard to pay attention, let alone believe.

Don’t get me wrong; I still enjoy a well-written story about vampires and mythical creatures, but I crave a reason to believe. I want some reasonable basis for the story.

The idea of a person shifting into an animal form that's ten times the size of its human form, or a person having the ability to fly without the required body mechanics, makes little sense to me. But, I can’t discount that since biblical days, stories have amassed about sentient beings with superhuman strength.

CREATUS, from the Latin word meaning 'created' are the reason we believe in fairy tales—and monsters. Superheroes didn't come about by being bitten by a vampire, a werewolf, or a spider. Instead, perhaps the same superior being who created us created them.

Maybe they still live among us, but know that they must hide their abilities, lest they become science experiments. And every once in a while, one will reveal himself to save the woman he loves.
